Netflix, as one of the best streaming services available, is known for offering a wide variety of films to its consumers. Every month, plenty of new movies are added to the platform, but, unfortunately, the streaming service is forced to remove some hits as well.
In February 2025, for example, several successful films such as Dune, Snowpiercer, and The Fast and the Furious franchise were removed, leaving many people out of the loop. So, if you're one of those individuals with a long list of films to view, some of them may leave Netflix sooner than you imagine. With that in mind, here's every movie leaving Netflix in March 2025.

Bad news for action movie fans, as a thriller with 91% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes is all set to abandon Netflix soon. Released back in 2019, the action thriller 21 Bridges features the late, great Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman in the lead as an NYPD detective on the hunt for a pair of cop killers. Boasting a reliably charismatic performance from Boseman, 21 Bridges proved divisive among critics and audiences, but is well worth any and every action movie fan’s time. But you don’t have long.
Directed by Brian Kirk, written by Adam Mervis and Matthew Michael Carnahan, and produced by Avengers: Endgame’s Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, 21 Bridges stars Chadwick Boseman alongside Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Taylor Kitsch, Keith David, and J. 2025 is in full swing, and with March just around the corner, it’s time for you to look ahead at the movies and series scheduled to depart Netflix throughout the month of March. The biggest notable TV series leaving is The Mindy Project, while hit films like Scooby-Doo and Love Again, among others, are also set to depart.
As always, Netflix’s library is constantly evolving. That means new titles are always on the way, but because Netflix licenses titles from big distributors, they’re not always on Netflix forever. When this license (or rental period) comes to an end, the movie or series leaves Netflix.
Note: This list will be constantly updated throughout February as we learn of more series and movies set to leave (typically 30 days before their departure). In the last few weeks of the month, Netflix...

Sienna Miller has had her fair share of hits and misses in her career, from starring in hits like American Sniper to being a part of disappointments like G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Back in 2019, the actor revealed that she wasn’t even aware that there was a second film in that iteration of the franchise.

The actress, in an interview in 2019, revealed that she might have regretted playing a villain in the G.I. Joe films, but that does not mean that she would not be perfect for a similar role in another franchise. Granted, it would be infinitely more grounded than what the Dwayne Johnson films had going, but it could definitely work out in her favor, should it come to fruition.

The movie follow-up to Prime Video's hit series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has added its first new cast member. The four-season series, based on Tom Clancy’s Ryanverse novels, follows the titular character, Jack Ryan (John Krasinski), as he navigates high-stakes geopolitical threats and espionage. With its modernized narrative, the spy show has earned critical acclaim for Krasinski's character-driven portrayal of the intelligence officer and ranks among Prime Video's most-watched shows globally.
The upcoming Jack Ryan movie, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, promises to expand the Ryanverse beyond the television series. Directed by series alum Andrew Bernstein and penned by season 4 writer Aaron Rabin, the feature film will reportedly include familiar faces from the series while introducing new characters to the fold. Details surrounding the plot remain classified, but Krasinski is more than ready to follow every past actor who played Jack Ryan in his first feature film as the nominal character.

Deadline brings word today that Aaron Pierre (Rebel Ridge) and Stephan James (Beacon 23) are the current frontrunners to play John Stewart in DC Studios and HBO's Lanterns.
Kyle Chandler was cast as Hal Jordan earlier this week and, according to the trade, no offers have been made yet. As we reported earlier today, F1 star Damson Idris was in the running but that no longer appears to be the case.
Both actors would bring a lot of this series and the wider Dcu and, as of now, it appears the plan is for John to be this shared world's main Green Lantern. Chandler has reportedly only signed a deal for Lanterns and no features so likely won't appear beyond the series.
Pierre is no stranger to the DC Universe after playing Dev-Em in Krypton and recently became a fan favourite choice to play John after starring in Rebel Ridge.

Tragically, the actor, who was also known for his work in movies like Da 5 Bloods, 21 Bridges, and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, died in 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. During Steven Zaillian’s Ripley, the viewer gleans a lot from things that aren’t said, whether that’s through telltale props, intricate sets or fabulous 1960s fashion. But it’s the show’s sound mixing that really becomes a key player in the Netflix series, adding tension and mystery to scenes with little dialogue or score.
“Steve clearly planned the show with sound in mind and really left room for the environments and ambiences to breathe and support a tone,” says sound designer and rerecording mixer Larry Zipf. “We had many long stretches with little dialogue or little music, and wherever there was opportunity for sound to give the impression of life outside the frame, whether it’s diegetic or in Tom’s mind, Steve was always looking for that.”

Emma Thompson looks set to do a bit of fishing and foil a kidnapping in The Fisherwoman: more on the film here.
The resurgent trend of action movies named after day-to-day jobs and activities continues. This year alone, Aaron Eckhart has been The Bricklayer, and Jason Statham as – of course – The Beekeeper.
Now though, step forward Emma Thompson. I’ve long wondered if she might take an action project, and it appears that’s what’s happened. Not just any one either: she’s going to headline The Fisherwoman.
I’m in already, for the avoidance of any doubt.
Filming is getting underway on the film this very week, and it’ll tell the story of Thompson’s widowed fisherwoman, who interrupts a kidnapping. Laurel Marsen, who was in Ms Marvel, will play the teenager who was about to get kidnapped until Emma Thompson rocked up. But there’s more to this than that,...

Chris Pratt's upcoming 2024 sci-fi movie, The Electric State, has the potential to break the Russo brothers' poor track record with MCU actors outside of the MCU. The Russo brothers, known for directing Avengers films, have worked on five forgettable movies featuring MCU actors, including Extraction and Cherry. The Electric State, based on a graphic novel, has a promising cast, including Millie Bobby Brown and Anthony Mackie, which gives hope for a quality film and a chance to improve the Russo brothers' reputation.
Chris Pratt's role in The Garfield Movie might be getting attention, but it's his upcoming 2024 sci-fi movie that could end up breaking a concerning trend plaguing MCU actors. 2023 marked Pratt's most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance with the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. To date, the actor has appeared in six MCU movies and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special as Star-Lord.

Ending the year in signs is the hilarious, adventurous, sharp-tongued era of Sagittarius.
There’s truly nothing like them. They are quirky, mysterious and full of life. While they naturally grab the attention in the room, they feel most comfortable when they’re in their lonesome.
Sagittarius is the jack-of-trades sign; the sign that takes up space in every all industries — whether they be an actor, comedian or a bus driver — their versatility allows them to do it all. And that flexibility helps fuel their “I’ll try anything once” mindset. To them, what is life if you’re not living it to your fullest? The only thing you have to beware of is their slick mouth. Between Sagittarius, Virgo and Aries it’s hard to tell which sign is more brutally honest. Truly, to know Sagittarius is to love them. And if you don’t love…it doesn’t...

The Russo brothers' films and TV shows following Avengers: Endgame have struggled to make an impact, receiving negative reviews and low scores on Rotten Tomatoes. Focusing on movies released directly to streaming services like AppleTV+ and Netflix has devalued their projects, as they are perceived as of lesser quality than theatrically released films. The Russo brothers' post-Endgame career average on Rotten Tomatoes is 64.5%, but their non-mcu movies have an average score of only 39.25%, indicating that they are better at making MCU movies and struggle with other projects.

Even before the first two episodes of "Citadel" debuted on Prime Video, the series made headlines for breaking Hollywood records. A troublesome production process pit executive producers Joe and Anthony Russo (of "Avengers: Endgame" fame) against creators Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec ("Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol"). When Amazon sided with the Marvel directors, it led to the exit of Appelbaum, Nemec, and director Brian Kirk ("21 Bridges"), which meant costly reshoots were set to follow. And when I say costly, I'm under-exaggerating: "Citadel" ended up with a record budget of $300 million for its six 40-minute episodes. That comes out to a whopping $1.25 million per minute!
Does that jaw-dropping price tag correlate to a quality spy thriller? It depends on who you ask. /Film's review dubs the series a "Bourne ripoff with no identity," pointing to underdeveloped ideas and a lackluster romance. But according to Prime Video, not everyone feels the same.

Amazon’s action-thriller Citadel is about to establish what the studio must hope is the next big spy franchise. Created by David Weil and produced and directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Citadel is a melting pot of genres and feels, blending classic espionage stylings with modern thrills, and sweeping romance with quick humor. Citadel is also the second-most-expensive series ever made, the first being Amazon’s other big gamble The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Helping to bring the ambitious world of Citadel to life is film composer Alex Belcher. The Academy, Tony, and BAFTA award-winning actor will star in the new original television series The Day of the Jackal in the lead role of the Jackal.
Redmayne will also serve as executive producer on the project.
The series is based on the seminal Frederick Forsyth thriller and subsequent award-winning 1973 film adaptation of the same name from Universal Pictures.
"The Day of the Jackal is a bold, modern reimagining of the beloved and respected novel and film," Peacock teases in a press release.
"While staying true to the DNA of the original story, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the chameleon like 'anti-hero' at the heart of the story in a high octane, cinematic, globetrotting 'cat and mouse' thriller, set amidst the turbulent geo-political landscape of our time."

Eddie Redmayne is set to look through the crosshairs of one of the most famous fictional assassins in the upcoming TV adaptation of The Day of the Jackal.
The Oscar, Tony and BAFTA winner will play the Jackal himself in the Sky/Peacock original series, based on the Frederick Forsyth thriller and subsequent award-winning 1973 film adaptation of the same name from Universal Pictures. Redmayne — who recently landed BAFTA, SAG and Golden Globe nomination for The Good Nurse — will also executive produce.
The Day of the Jackal is being billed by the producers as a “bold, modern reimagining of the beloved and respected novel and film.” While staying true to the DNA of the original story, which was set in 1962 and based on attempts to assassinate French president Charles de Gaulle, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the chameleon like “antihero” at the heart of the story in a “high octane,...

Prime Video has released the first trailer for "Citadel," its long-gestating spy action thriller series, executive produced by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. All four creatives were on hand with showrunner David Weil for a virtual press conference, which doubled as a trailer launch event, live from Los Angeles today.
It's been a long road for "Citadel" to the small screen, and along the way, the series has racked up one of the biggest budgets of any TV show ever made. This is nothing new for Prime Video, which also spent almost half a billion dollars on season 1 of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power." However, "Citadel" is attempting to create a new global franchise, with this first seven-episode series, led by Madden and Chopra, kicking off a slate of international spin-offs set in places like India, Italy, and Mexico.

Fresh off a standout performance in director Sophie Hyde's affecting drama, "Good Luck To You, Leo Grande," Emma Thompson is set to dramatically switch things up. The esteemed actress will soon play the role of "a widowed fisherman" who becomes involved in a teen's kidnapping in the action thriller "The Fisherwoman." Announced via Variety in early February, the film will be directed by Brian Kirk, who's known mostly for his work on TV shows including "Luther," "Dexter," and "Game of Thrones." And while little is known about the project at this time, it's intriguing if only for Thompson, who continues to make diverse and interesting role choices.
The actress has always sought out challenging projects. When asked for her advice to up-and-coming actors, she told BAFTA back in 2013, "Make your choices carefully and don't do things just because they might pay well, do the things that really interest you.

Sienna Miller is opening up about the sexism she’s faced in theatre.
Speaking to Vogue for their December cover story, she said she was once “offered less than half” the weekly pay of her male costar for a play on Broadway.
While Miller didn’t name the show or producer as she “didn’t want to be mean”, she did end up taking the role despite the pay discrepancy.
“I said to the producer, who was extremely powerful, it’s not about money — it’s about fairness and respect, thinking they’d come back and say, ‘Of course, of course,'” she recalled.

The producer didn’t exactly see eye to eye, however.
“But they didn’t. They just said, ‘Well f–k off then,’” she explained.

After acquiring the streaming rights to the recent "Halloween" movies, the ongoing "Chucky" franchise, and even a "Friday the 13th" prequel series (yes, which means you can start placing your bets on when exactly we'll receive a crossover extravaganza), Peacock continues to make some pretty significant moves.
Variety reports that UK broadcaster Sky Studios and the Peacock streaming service have joined forces to create a series based on the 1971 political thriller novel "The Day of the Jackal," written by author Frederick Forsyth, and its classic 1973 big-screen adaptation of the same name, directed by Fred Zinnemann. Set in 1963 during the pivotal moment in history when French president Charles de Gaulle granted neighboring Algeria its independence, the fictional story follows a ruthless assassin who goes by the codename of "Jackal" who is recruited by the far-right Organisation de L'Armée Secrète (Oas) to take out de Gaulle in retaliation. The novel went on...

Sienna Miller says in a new interview with British Vogue that she once was told by an “extremely powerful” Broadway producer to “f*ck off” when inquiring about why she was “offered less than half” the salary of a male co-star.
The actress, who did not name the play, says she told the producer, “It’s not about money – it’s about fairness and respect.” Her thinking was she’d be met with an “Of course, of course,” but instead “they just said, ‘Well f*ck off then.’”
Miller has appeared in two Broadway productions: a revival of Cabaret when, in 2015, she replaced original star Michelle Williams in the starring role of Sally Bowles, and, in 2009, After Miss Julie, in which she co-starred with Jonny Lee Miller. Sienna Miller did not indicate in which production she experienced the problem,...
