It is Amir's birthday, and the family dog gives him an unexpected present. His girlfriend, Charlotte, argues that they will have to move if he does not land a 'normal' job soon, but Amir clings to his dream of working in social anthropology. An irritating old acquaintance gets Amir to entertain other ideas.

Amir has to earn some quick money and 'borrows' his father's Mercedes. His first job is to drive a poorly planned bachelorette party, where the maid of honor is hoping that a former acquaintance from the bride's youth is willing to strip for them.

Charlotte has found someone who can take over their apartment, and Amir lies to her about getting a research position at the university. He is booked for a trip by two Danes but has trouble finding his way. Amir regrets having lied to Charlotte, but gets entangled in a web of even more lies when Charlotte's colleague, Sebbe, gets involved.

Sebbe understands that Amir has lied to Charlotte about the research position but promises to keep quiet about it. A pair of lovers argue about a printer. Is it possible that someone would give away a brand new, working printer completely free? Or is someone trying to trick them? Amir drives a talkative, mute passenger.

Amir finds a mobile phone in the back seat that starts receiving text messages asking for help. This leads him to a teen party that he never should have gone to. Beethoven, a celebrity dog, has been missing for several days, and the city's residents form a search party to try and find it.

The mood in the city is irritable, and two friends have their festive evening interrupted by a jealous lover. Charlotte loses her house keys while out having drinks and wants Amir to meet her, but he has to hunt down a mysterious passenger.

A drone pursues Amir on his way to find his father's car. Amir meets his furious father, and soon he also has to confront the group that has been following him by drone.

Amir is home at his parents again, and his outspoken Uncle Omar is on a visit there. Amir fears that Charlotte is going to dump him, and he decides to go and see her at Sebbe's. They finally meet, but Sebbe has a few final tricks up his sleeve. The Beethoven case is solved.
