Indian streamer Disney+ Hotstar is planning a major push into animation content for adults.

The push follows the success of Graphic India’s 3D animation “The Legend of Hanuman,” the third season of which debuted earlier this month to a critical and audience reception that the streamer is happy with. The series is derived from ancient Indian mythological epic “The Ramayana.”

“There are so many stories around around ‘The Ramayana’ that are remaining to be told. We feel that this is a franchise, which has lots of storytelling left, and we want to really scale up and build this world in an exciting manner,” Gaurav Banerjee, head, content, Disney+ Hotstar and HSM (Hindi-language speaking markets) Entertainment Network at broadcaster Disney Star, told Variety.

Disney+ Hotstar is teaming with Graphic India again for another adult animation series, which will be unveiled within the next six months, but it is coy about specific details at the moment.

Mumbai, Jan 19 (Ians) Dancer and choreographer Dharmesh Yelande is set to appear on the seventh season of ‘Dance + Pro’, and will bring ‘Jhaama Challenge’ for the contestants of the dance reality show.

The show is judged by Remo D’Souza and features captains like Shakti Mohan, Punit Pathak, and Rahul Shetty.

The audience has been witnessing a varied range of talent and performances from the contestants this season.

Dharmesh, who was a part of the earlier seasons of the dance reality show as a captain, will now appear on the show as a special guest. He will set the stage on fire and also groove along with Super Judge Remo and the captains.

Actor-dancer and TV personality Raghav Juyal says he does not like to go by the script while hosting reality shows.

"Generally shows have scripting. I don't like to go much by the script. I do everything in the moment and capture it and then have fun. It comes with all honesty. I believe in that," Raghav told Ians.

He will soon be seen hosting the third season of Dance Deewane, which is judged by Madhuri Dixit Nene, Dharmesh Yelande and Tushar Kalia.

Raghav, who has collaborated with Dharmesh many times in the past, says it is like having a family-like vibe on set. "Even with Madhuri ma'am we have a good bond. I think it is like a family and when you see the show," he said.
