First of all Hats off for little Myra Vishwakarma whose cuteness will make you giggle and go 'awww' and 'nooooo' on screen and secondly the deserved credit to director to pull off those shots of little girl. Coming to the story, everything in the movie looks staged to create the risky environment for the kid which is hard to digest at moments with some obvious plot holes. The first half was really engaging but second half couldn't hold the pace created. The director could've explored the house even more instead of repititive engagements of girl with dangers. FULL MARKS for the effort of makers and director to create a different genre of thriller in itself.

Pihu is a film about a 2 year old girl who wanders around her flat and constantly being put in danger by everyday appliances.

I was intrigued by the trailer as to how this film would work. How can a 2 year old girl shoulder an entire film? After seeing it, I learnt it was possible.

Maya Vishwakarma as Pihu is amazing and an outstanding achievement. It's truly incredible how director Vinod Kapri managed to make someone as young as her feel so captivating whilst making her the sole centerpiece of the entire movie. Seeing her interact with dangerous equipment we use in our daily life is nail biting as we constanly hope nothing bad happens to her. However, Kapri uses these threatening situations to a point where it becomes repetitive and stretches the runtime. Kapri's direction is great. There are some shots used which I've never seen being utilised in another film.

Alongside this, Kapri incorporates mature themes into his film which is an eye opener to parents as to how they should care for their children. I wish the makers would have explored these themes into more detail to allow the story to be more investing.

Overall, Pihu is a decent watch. I appreciate the uniqueness and effort that went into this movie and applaud Kapri for delving into a subject like this. I just wish the story was more reinforced and less tiresome.

Some people claimed that they are a great foodie...but use to have same kind of food in their whole life,,,If you ask them to try a new cuisine which is entirely different from their use-too test buds ,,they will cry like a baby.

Same here --people are just putting negative review about this movie,,,coz they use to see a movie based on American comics characters,,or traditional war movies or some dark movie, But this world is big enough to invent new things every second.

Pihu is one of the masterpiece of that state of mind. Its a lesson learnt ,,its a wakeup call that in today's word how much vulnerability we have in our so called modern Flats or lifestyle,, Just consider can you leave a 2 year old kid alone in your 3 BHK Duplex flat for 24hrs ? Have you ever imagine that every electronic gadget and machine in your home is a live automatic weapon to kill a 2 yr old kid ? Have you ever imagine your routine wife-husband fight can take a dangerous turn ? Have you ever imagine we are living a zombie life in our so called high rise buildings society , where your nearest neighbor dnt know about you? Haven't you heard that people reported to police after a bad smell started from their next flat ,,and found 5 days old decomposed dead body?

Once you married and having kids then ,,,This movie is a master piece to buzz this society and every individual that we have a responsibility to give a good future for our next generations, So need to get rid off with personal issue in a mature manner.

Pihu -- Whole movie is a bone chilling thriller with a blend of innocence of little Pihu,,,,,,it will take your breath away.

Last but not the least - Thanks to Vinod Kapri....I though he will become Anurag Kashyap in the last scene of the movie ,,,,,,,,,but thankfully I found life underneath the bed.

A must watch for every parent .

Unbelievable! This baby is born to be an actress. Amazing story also so horrible! When I start watching the movie I could not breathe properly. After watching this movie I have to say, 'Take care of your child. Do not make the wrong decision between family conflict and risk your child's life.'

This film is about a two year old girl getting trapped alone in the apartment along with the dead body of her mother lying on the bed. And it's based on a true story!

Curiosity generates when its trailer shocked everyone. However, the film is not excellent or mind blowing. I found that it is just an extended version of the trailer. It is not a bad film, it's a good film, but not the mind-blowing one.

Though, this film has to be told through cinema because it taught us how to live properly if you have a child. One mistake can led you to the trench. You will definitely gain something out of it.

The microwave shot was damn new thing. For me it was the best part of the film. However, I was feeling dizzy😅 in that moment because of the movement of camera.

The actor, Pihu, has done fantastic job. This can be the first film where you see just one actor on screen throughout the run time. Kudos to the makers for creating such cinema.

On the whole, Film asks for your patience. May be only parents will adore or enjoy this fully. Also, if you have newly born baby, or there babies around you, don't watch it now. Because it will haunt you for days and night. It is an eye opener for people living in high society and don't know how to maintain relationship after having a baby. Go and watch this to experience a new thing! And those who have weak hearts, avoid it.

I don't know why the rating is so low... Such a Good movie.. Parents should definitely watch this. Even my Mom loved this movie .

Pihu is not for the faint hearted, the director keeps you at the edge of the seat with the little girl slowly heading towards death in ignorance & Innocience , the film holds great grip till interval post that the 2nd half gets similar and repetitive hence making it a average film , director has given a great message on parenting and how one mistake or neggligence could lead to huge personal loss . The soul of the film is the little girl who has done such a great job .

1. Unique script 2. Pihu's( Myra ) performance 3. Direction 4. Creativity 5. The kid ( pihu ) is not acting... She is doing what a 2 year old child do when they are alone.

Negatives 1. Techinal error... I didn't count... It is too much 2. Director tried to maximum commercialize the movie... But he miserably fails 3. No songs 4. Director tried too much hard to get the child act.. most of scenes it fails 5. Some scenes are unbelievable...

It maybe a nightmare for parents.

You won't feel it like a movie... It's only around 90 minutes u may feel like a short film. The film is made on a small budget and not promoted well.

I have never ever seen a movie like this where it is in the point of a view of a child. It is such a tragic story and I feel like it is an important story as well. The little girl is soo good in the movie. It is amazing how they can tell a complete and heartbreaking story with very little dialouge and a young child as the main character. I highly highly recommend this movie.

I have no words for this movie.. Such a wonderful acting by a small girl...this movie was masterpiece....

This movie was hard to watch, it was gripping and intense. The entire time watching it, I was so upset by the fact on how it would affect the child growing up. Watch it and hopefully be a better person after it.

Let's start by acknowledging how adorable this little girl was. She just couldn't have been more cute. I'm not sure how much direction she actually needed but she also seemed very intelligent.

As a mother, this film was just destroying my nerves. The film is about adorable Pihu waking up and finding her mother deceased by way of intentional overdose. She isn't able to comprehend this and simply believes her mother is sleeping. We are given the clear understanding that the relationship between the father and mother has been unhealthy, marks present on the mother indicate domestic abuse in the home and she has left a suicide note that indicated that she had intended to take Pihu's life as well but at the last moment couldn't go through with it. Pihu is left to take care of herself until someone finds her.

She finds ways to take care of her hygiene, feed herself and occupy her time but around every corner there are threats to an unsupervised child. She find her mother's medicine, she turns on the stove, she closes herself up in the refrigerator and climbs the balcony railing of her upper level home. A running tap threatens electrocution, the gas stove and an iron threaten fire and all the medication scattered on the floor threatens the potential accidental overdose. It was difficult to watch at times and at other times it spoke to the resiliency of a child and just how much information they are capable of absorbing.

I personally loved the film. I wouldn't mind recommending it and I just hope that the child this story is based on was able to thrive despite this experience.

This movie will certainly change your perspective towards the family. Cute 2 year old girl acting is superb. It would have got more reputation if it was Hollywood movie.

I hate children. This movie was fairly good until the very end (and I mean the VERY END- right before the credits- you'll understand). But the whole time I wanted to smack that child. Even for how cute she was.

Truly masterpiece which will make huge impact on you.

The hair was neatly clipped after every few scenes, the lipstick was gone after few scenes. Being a Bengali I did not like the dialogue about Kolkata called dirty.

Virtually every scene could hv been improved, In one shot Pihu is so smart and responsible child and in next minute she is totally opposite.

The movie is really good.At least for me. I don't know how much crowd of people will this movie attract but it's definitely a one time watchable movie. It shows that in relation you need to have understanding and you cannot let child be at the sufferer end just because of misunderstanding.

It also shows as a Parent you need to be responsible and be very careful with the toddler and shouldn't take your child for granted.

This movie is just a drama movie have poor storyline, poor story. It doesn't has anything without the acting of this little child...this child was too good to explain. But while we talk about a movie, It's not only about acting, but also storyline. This movie made me bored. Quiet average type film with outstanding acting.
