Didn't know what I was getting into when I threw this movie on but it deff. left a great impression. The story itself was interesting and in actuality could happen and similar stuff probably has happened to people. It was believable and the main actors and most of the others did a great job of making me believe this.

The movie starts out slow but then keeps you on your feet and just when you thought there is no hope, shines and lives you with a positive hopeful outcome.

It's just comfortable to watch this movie, It got its charm, lovely movie.

What a shame almost no one on this planet saw this movie as of now. It didn't get a proper release, but it should have. Peel is a low-budget indie film with a bunch of heart and very good performances, and it doesn't try too hard to be emotional. Emile Hirsch is great in this.

Overall there was potential here for an even better story but it's worth seeing still and I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a cute and fun flick with something to say. It's a good time.

Thirtysomething Peel Munter (Emile Hirsch) lives at home alone with his sick mother. Twenty-five years ago, his father took his two older brothers and drove off. After his mother dies, he has to raise money for the mortgage. He rents a room to Roy (Jack Kesy) as he tries to find his brothers.

This sweet story could have been great. I think it's Emile Hirsch's low energy complete innocent performance. I don't know if I completely buy it. More importantly, I think it would work better as a twitchy recluse who isn't working at a 10 year old level. It would allow for more character growth over time. I don't think Peel is growing as much in this. He's more a magical figure who makes everybody better. That is still sweet.

This movie is slow and boring, it keeps you waiting for something interesting to finally happen. But it doesn't make much sense. In general it's ok, just ok when one has nothing else to do.

I just saw this film at the Santa Barbara Intl Film Fest. The director and some of the actors and production team were on hand after for a q and a ?? Peel played by Emile Hirsch lives with his mother. His Father ran off with his 2 older brothers when he was very young. He has a very close relationship with his Mother, played by Amy Brenneman ,but when she dies he decides to try and locate his lost brothers and rents out a room in his house to finance the search. Peel is kinda different from most folks so his new roommates try to take advantage of him but also coach him on girls and things. A really attractive Asian girl likes Peel. So the journey to find his brothers begins. I will not spoil it with how the story plays out, but will say Bravo enjoyed the Film and characters ! Big applause at end from audience

Friends and family of the cast and crew should be ashamed of themselves. The movie was just okay. I'm surprised to see all these 10 out of 10 reviews, frankly they're boring and do more damage to the real feel and experience of the movie. If you missed this movie trust me, it's no biggie

Prepare to fall in love with Peel; the character and the movie. A beautiful story of innocence, simplicity, family and friendship, that melts your heart and leaves you wishing the movie did not end. The characters are incredibly relatable and real, as are the scenes and the dialogue.

A beautifully written, produced and directed piece with depth and solidity we all crave to see more of. Superb!

Think "Being There" with a dose of "Napoleon Dynamite", this beautiful film is an homage to the human condition and our struggle to belong. The performances are nuanced and restrained while managing to deliver a powerful emotional punch. I was left with the undeniable feeling that we are all truly "enough"; that it is okay to come as we are. That we can be loved regardless of our idiosyncrasies and weaknesses. If you are open to its subtle messages and quiet, teachable moments you too will be astounded by its impact.

A must see gem of a movie. Brilliantly paced and crafted. Acting top notch, almost faultless.

Really touching storing. Reminded me a lot of my family growing up so very relatable characters. The acting was fantastic. Great blend of humor and drama. Very lovely photography as well.

A clever, sentimental and visually stimulating movie with such a great cast of of characters, and hilarious moments. It truly is a heartfelt, gentle, witty and meaningful film, a must see!! I Really enjoyed it !

Such a surprise! Guaranteed cult classic. Writing, direction and acting were absolutely on point. An amazing "coming of age" story for adults. Loved the whole thing start to finish!

The film is full of surprises, humor, and heart-felt insights. I left the movie feeling my faith in humanity a bit uplifted. Indelible moments. Go see this movie and give your soul a polish.

Ok, i super love Emile but honestly during the first half i paused it and never thought of it again up until Christmas when i couldnt find a movie that i havnt seen before sooo i gave it another shot and one of the reviewer here is so so right. It is a shame not to give it a second shot and finish it. And yes it is bec the good story starts during the second half of it.

I love Emile's acting. Sometimes I wonder if he can pull off THE JOKER. Whatcha all think? :)

If you like random movies with a simple but moving story, this ones for you. I randomly stumbled across this movie and anything Emile Hirsch is in is worth watching. If you're looking for huge budget effects and Hollywood explosions, then this ones not for you.

Very nice movie, I do not understand such a low rating on imdb.. Do not let yourself mislead by the 6 rating
