The Last Classic From a Horror Master is Now Streaming Free
Image
Wes Craven is my favorite filmmaker, horror or otherwise. I recognize that’s not the case for everybody, but I love to balance my scares with heart, and Craven understood better than everyone that audiences for the nastiest, gnarliest horror movies needed a reason to care. That reason was often sincere, tender, and at times, profoundly moving. Scream is Scream, yes, but Craven’s handling of Sidney Prescott’s arc is nothing short of a theatrical triumph.

I was first introduced to Craven by way of Ghostface, like so many other moviegoers my age, and while I swiftly went through his entire back catalogue, I was disappointed to come of age in what would really be Craven’s final bow. In 2005, both Cursed and Red Eye were released, though Craven wouldn’t helm another horror movie for five years. Just a year after that, Scream 4 was released, and that...

If Netflix Got Lord of the Rings: Rings Of Power, It’d Be Sharing a Grave With an 83% Rated Gem
Image
If Netflix had acquired The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022–present), it might have faced the same fate as Shadow and Bone (2021–2023), an 83% Rotten Tomatoes-rated series canceled after two seasons.

The Rings of Power, currently on Amazon Prime Video, holds a similar 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes; however, its future depends on viewership and creative direction. While it has been renewed for a third season, and production on the way, we cannot help but think that if the series were on Netflix, it might have long met the same fate as Shadow & Bone.

Why Did Shadow & Bone Get Cancelled? Shadow & Bone | Credits: Netflix

Over the years, Netflix has built a reputation for canceling shows, whether it be Sense8, or Cursed. The streaming giant has been known to axe shows despite an established fan base and critical ratings.

‘Vikings’ TV Show Cast: What Are They Doing in 2025?
Image
What happens when a band of axe-swinging, beard-flipping Norse legends trades the battlefield for the big screen and beyond? The Vikings cast, once busy raiding England and brooding under the Northern Lights, are now slaying in Hollywood, indie flicks, and even Marvel projects.

From Ragnar’s intense stares to Lagertha’s boss-level shield-maiden energy, this crew didn’t just conquer our screens; they stuck around. Now in 2025, some are wielding lightsabers, some are directing, and a few are still rocking the fur-and-leather vibe in new period dramas.

Whether they’re ruling Asgard, sneaking into spy thrillers, or showing up in surprising cameos, the Vikings fam is proving Valhalla isn’t the final stop; it’s just the beginning. So, if you’ve been wondering what happened to your favorite Norse legends after the credits rolled, get ready for a modern saga packed with plot twists, Hollywood glow-ups, and at least one Viking with a podcast.

Neji and Choji Hold a Dark Record Even Naruto Avoided
Image
Neji and Choji are two of the most iconic side characters in Masashi Kishimoto’s series. They share similarities in one way or the other; both hail from legendary clans in Konoha and made their mark as strong shinobi.

Their specialisation in clan techniques is one such feat. It isn’t a cakewalk to say the least. While this marks their growth as characters, they achieved one of the darkest records early on, but that’s not all.

In other words, this record makes the story all the more disturbing and unsettling. This also connects well with the macabre elements in the series. Naruto avoided it, but what exactly is it? Let’s find out!

Neji Hyuga and Choji Akimichi’s dark and twisted incident in the series

We keep hearing how Masashi Kishimoto abandoned his side characters and whatnot. But little do we realize that he gave us some...

“Mostly, It’s Serious”: ‘DanDaDan’ Stars Share How the Vibe Shifts Between Season 1 and the “Tense” Season 2 [Exclusive]
Image
DanDaDan is about to get serious. When the hotly anticipated sci-fi anime premiered last year, it introduced viewers to a frantic, goofy, mysterious, and action-packed story of two high school students discovering that ghosts and aliens are very real and using their newfound abilities to combat the strange and horrific supernatural entities around them. The stakes are higher in Season 2, though, as Momo (Abby Trott) and Okarun (Aj Beckles) face their greatest threats yet, including, most notably, the demonic Evil Eye, who pushes the pair to their limits. During a conversation with Collider's Laura Adams for the Evil Eye compilation movie, English dub stars Beckles, Trott, and Aleks Le opened up about how the new arc sends the series in a more intense direction that leaves behind a bit of the laughs for more serious storylines.

Evil Eyekicks off the second season on the silver screen, covering the events...

‘Scream’ Family Member Confirms Their Return for the Seventh Movie
Image
One more member of the Scream family is set to make their return for the seventh installment in the slasher franchise. With universe creator, Kevin Williamson, standing at the helm, another behind-the-scenes face from early on in the beloved film series will be lending his unique vision to the production, with composer Marco Beltrami officially confirming his return. The musician provided the score behind the first four films of the franchise before the directorial reins were taken over by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin during the fifth and sixth titles. Now, audiences can expect to hear many of the same themes that helped to set the tone during the first four Wes Craven-directed features. Taking to Instagram to confirm the news, Beltrami responded to a comment on a post from 2023, telling one follower “don’t worry, I am” when he was asked to return to his position for Scream...

6 Upcoming Stephen King Adaptations Arriving in 2025
Image
If there’s one thing that’s as prolific as horror author Stephen King himself, it’s the world of Stephen King adaptations. It was recently announced, for starters, that the author’s killer dog classic Cujo is headed back to the screen with a new adaptation in the works from Netflix with Black Swan filmmaker Darren Aronofsky in talks to direct.

Mike Flanagan also has plans to tackle new adaptations of The Dark Tower and Carrie for Amazon, and A24 is developing Stephen King’s Fairy Tale into a 10-episode series, to name just a handful of new movies and series on the way in 2026 and beyond.

But that doesn’t mean 2025 will take it easy on the King adaptations.

The year is packed with adaptations in film and series form. Here are six upcoming Stephen King adaptations arriving in 2025.

The Monkey – April 4 (PVOD), June 24 (Blu-ray)

Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 14 Review: The Weirdest Plotline Is the Best
Image
Quick LinksChicago Med Season 10, Episode 14 Is the Steven Weber ShowChicago Med Makes Things Weird in Other WaysBrian Tee Returns to Chicago Med Again - And Makes an Impact

The following contains major spoilers from Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 14, "Acid Test." It also contains discussion of domestic abuse.

Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 14, "Acid Test" is the rare episode where the comic relief subplot outshines everything else. The dramatic plotlines are good enough to make the installment worth watching, but it's the comedic story that really holds the audience's attention. If nothing else, perhaps this episode will get the writers to lean more into the funnier and quirkier elements that the show used to have.

"Acid Test" sees the hospital get a surprise inspection, while the cases of the week all involve parents in some way, whether it's an abusive father or an overbearing mother. Meanwhile, Dr. Mitch Ripley finally seems to...

We’re Just Gonna Say It — This Major Part of 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' Makes No Sense
Image
While fans focus on the upcoming reboot, other parts of Harry Potterget less attention, including the stage show. Harry Potter and the Cursed Childis a recent addition to the world, with an interesting premise as it focuses on the next generation at Hogwarts. Yet one crucial detail contradicts the original story: the process of Sorting characters into Hogwarts Houses. Whether a person is Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw says a lot about their personality and values, yet there is more to it than how you act, and The Cursed Child doesn't seem to realize that.

6 Horror Movie Director’s Cuts We’d Still Love to See
Image
Compromises are made whenever art and industry collide. This is especially true for movies, as it takes an insane amount of resources to produce even the cheapest feature. That’s why producers often feel the need to protect their investment by wrestling control of a project away from “rogue” directors. Quality-wise, this almost invariably spells out doom for the film in question. However, the rise of home video has led to some filmmakers getting a second chance at sharing their vision with the world.

And while we’re all aware of famously superior director’s cuts of movies like Blade Runner and Little Shop of Horrors, not all filmmakers have been fortunate enough to revisit their forlorn projects. With that in mind, we’ve decided to compile a list highlighting six director’s cuts that horror fans are still waiting for. After all, it’s never too late for studios...

Found Footage Horror Hit 'Antrum' Is Streaming on Shudder This February
Image
If you have a Shudder (or AMC+) subscription, you will have the chance to see a very special film next month. If you dare. The platform, known for its huge catalog of horror movies of every kind, will include a 2018 found footage film in its catalog. The name? Antrum, or as some have labeled it, Antrum: The Deadliest Film Ever Made which is due to land on the streamer on February 24. Antrum is a two-part independent movie that was the passion project of filmmakers David Amito and Michael Laicini. They set out to produce a horror mockumentary about watching a movie that would kill you after you'd seen it. The result was a small film that sailed across the festival circuit in 2018 and drew the attention of everyone who saw it. Eventually, the directors signed a distribution deal that put the film on streaming platforms in 2020, and, at one stage,...

‘Wolf Man’ Review: Universal’s Latest Monster Reboot Is a Dark and Toothless January Mess
Image
What if a man… were also a wolf? It’s a question that’s compelled filmmakers for more than 100 years, inspiring a monster movie classic (George Waggner’s “The Wolf Man”), a handful of enduring cult hits, and an endless series of howlingly bad Hollywood misfires from otherwise reliable directors. Mike Nichols’ “Wolf” was seductively bizarre enough to work on its own terms, but Joe Johnston’s “The Wolfman” — a $150 million Benicio del Toro vehicle that confirmed Universal’s desperation to update its oldest horror IP — was neutered by corporate interference in similar fashion to how Miramax had declawed Wes Craven’s “Cursed” a few years earlier. And of course, the “Dark Universe” mega-franchise that was meant to revive so many of Lon Chaney Jr.’s most immortal roles imploded before the rise of its first full moon.

In that light, perhaps the most impressive thing about Leigh Whannell’s...

Justina’s Favorites of 2024
Image
In 2024, I was excited to see horror expand in several ways, from original concept horror films (The Coffee Table) to media preserving horror history (El Vamprio box set) to anniversaries of significant horror films (Mahal). I also had amazing opportunities this year to have memorable horror experiences that included Dracula, Chucky, and Wednesday Addams. And without further ado, here are my favorites of 2024.

10. Stranger Sings

Confession. I’ve never seen Stranger Things. However, as a big fan of musicals, when I learned about this musical horror comedy parody, I had to watch it. Stranger Sings follows the beloved Hawkins residents during the disappearance of young Will. It’s so silly and fun. I enjoyed it. This was a great introduction to the Stranger Things universe for someone like me, who can’t tell the difference between a Demogorgon and an Eggo waffle.

9. Late Night with the Devil

4 good shows like Shadow and Bone to watch if you miss the fantasy series
Image
I can't believe it's been a little over a year since Netflix announced the sad news that Shadow and Bone had been cancelled. The streamer shared the update back in November 2023. Since then, many of us fans have still been thinking about the fantasy series.

Now, look. Season 2 was not my cup of tea and I did not enjoy it very much overall. However, because of how great season 1 was, it's following, and with so much more story still left to tell, I do think Netflix should have given the series one more shot.

But, here we are in this unfortunate position still. That doesn't mean the fantastical tale doesn't cross our minds every once in a while. If you're like me and looking for something to give you the same vibes, I've got your back. Here's 4 good shows like Shadow and Bone to watch if you miss the fantasy series.

Netflix Should Adapt This 30-Year-Old Fantasy Series With A Female Sword-Wielding Lead If Its Witcher Recast Doesn't Pan Out
Image
With many fans ready to write Netflix's The Witcher off before the next season even airs because of Witcher's struggles with pacing and plot, and many other fantasy shows struggling to find their footing for similar reasons, it's time to wonder what series the major streaming platforms will snap up in hopes of finding the next hit adaptation. One particularly ideal candidate is a series of Australian fantasy novels that will turn 30 years old in 2025: Sabriel.

Fantasy is having a bit of a moment right now, in ways both positive and negative, largely thanks to Netflix. Netflix was the first streamer all-in on adapting fantasy book series, such as Shadow & Bone, Cursed, Sandman, and others. However, Netflix has also been quick to give the ax to these same series, canceling shows even as beloved and successful as Shadow & Bone. Still, it seems Netflix is still high up on fantasy,...

‘It’s What’s Inside’ Cast and Character Guide: Who’s in Whose Body?
Image
Netflix’s “It’s What’s Inside” is the body-swapping thriller that sparked a bidding war at Sundance, and it’s finally streaming for all to see. And you’re probably going to want to see it a couple of times, because the ensemble cast is constantly rotating through characters, leaving the audience to keep up with who’s who — and in who’s body — at what point in the film.

We’re going to keep the basic cast and character details here spoiler-free, though we will add some hints to help you keep track, in case you’re wondering where you’ve seen that actor before without getting the whole movie ruined for you. But not to worry, if you’re looking for a breakdown of who’s in who’s body, we’ll include that in a spoiler section below, too.

Sharknado - Genug gesagt! (2013)
10 Fun Creature Features That Are So Bad They're Good
Sharknado - Genug gesagt! (2013)
Whether on land or in the sea, there are many creatures wreaking havoc in horror movies. Snakes, spiders, gators, bees... these creepy crawlies are the stuff of nightmares for many viewers. Of course, not all creature features nail the landing when it comes to being terrifying. Some creature features are so bad they're actually kind of good.

Sometimes bad creature features are designed to be campy, yet still thoroughly watchable. Sharknado and Snakes on a Plane are mainstream examples that nailed the formula, but there are also many fantastic hidden gems. These horror films are fun to watch with friends, leading to plenty of laughs mixed in with the scares.

I'm Disappointed With 9-1-1 Season 8 Premiere's Tragedy After Lukewarm Season 7
Image
Unfortunately, it appears as if the 9-1-1 season 8 premiere is being set up for failure as its emergency doesn't quite live up to the expectations I have of the show's opening episode. The ABC procedural drama TV series has tackled many high-risk, nail-biting situations over the course of its seven aired seasons. From a tsunami to a cruise ship sinking, 9-1-1 has had quite a run exploring different intriguing tragedies. However, when 9-1-1 season 8 is released, it will be quite difficult for the upcoming disaster to compete with the ones that preceded it.

9-1-1 season 8 premieres on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 8 pm Et on ABC. Even though the network has not announced an episode count as of the writing of this article, many speculate that season 8 will contain around 18 episodes based on previous full-length seasons.

Although 9-1-1 season 7 had the cruise ship disaster which was engrossing, the season, overall, didn't have that many interesting emergencies.

Cursed Season 2: Why Netflix Canceled Katherine Langford's Show
Image
The medieval fantasy Netflix series Cursed was canceled after one season, eliminating the possibility of a Cursed season 2. Cursed premiered in July 2020 with a 10-episode first season, but a year passed without any updates, leaving the series' fate unknown. Then, in the aftermath of other cancelations that included four original comedy shows, Cursed also got the ax from Netflix, with its title becoming an ironic self-fulfilling prophecy. In season 1, Nimue (Katherine Langford) is shunned by her Fey village as she's believed to be cursed, but in actuality, Nimue's destined to become the magical Lady of the Lake.

Along the way, Nimue joins forces with a young King Arthur (Devon Terrell) on a quest to find Merlin (Gustaf Skarsgrd) and deliver Excalibur. Given the widespread appeal of fantasy content in today's streaming world and Netflix's own prowess in the genre with shows like The Witcher, it comes as a bit of...

It’s What’s Inside: Netflix gives horror film an October release date

Fear the Walking Dead cast member Colman Domingo has executive produced a horror film called It’s What’s Inside, which earned a lot of positive reviews after having its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival at the start of this year. Along with the release date announcement comes the unveiling of a batch of first look images, which can be seen at the bottom of this article.

It’s What’s Inside marks the feature directorial debut of Greg Jardin, who also wrote the screenplay. Details on the plot are being kept under wraps, with most reviewers doing their best to keep the movie’s secrets. The set-up is,...

‘The Soul of Wes Craven’ Book Review – A Heartfelt Eulogy and the Definitive Craven Biography
Image
From the genre-defining classics A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream to such transgressive works as The Last House on the Left and The Hills Have Eyes to cult favorites like The People Under the Stairs and The Serpent and the Rainbow, Wes Craven’s reign of terror spanned not only decades but generations.

But there’s much more to the man than just horror movies. In Harker Press’ The Soul of Wes Craven, author Joseph Maddrey allows readers to see the entire person rather than just a collection of his work.

The Soul of Wes Craven is not the first biography on the master of horror, but it is the definitive one. In addition to a profusion of thoroughly-researched sources, Maddrey interviewed over 80 people from Craven’s life — from professional collaborators like Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp, Alexandre Aja, and Patrick Lussier to family members, friends, and college classmates — for...

Leighton Meester's Good Cop/Bad Cop role, the cast, and everything to know about The CW procedural
Image
Leighton Meester is making a return to TV in a new cop show from The CW, Roku, and Stan (an Australian streaming service)! Here’s what else to know about Good Cop/Bad Cop!

The CW has been in flux in the last few years thanks to some big behind-the-scenes changeovers from Nexster and the cancellation of scores of fun shows. The network is now into acquiring productions from Canada and other nations to boost themselves.

Such a series is Good Cop/Bad Cop. The plot focuses on Lou and Henry, a brother and sister pair of cops with a quirky relationship. They serve on the same police force in a Pacific Northwest town under the tough, demanding police chief, who happens to be their father.

Playing Lou is Leighton Meester, best known for her role as Blair Waldorf on The CW hit Gossip Girl. Henry is played by Luke Cook,...

Judy Greer and Mark Hamill Join Lionsgate’s ‘The Long Walk’
Joshua Odjick, Cooper Hoffman, Ben Wang, Charlie Plummer, and David Jonsson in The Long Walk: Todesmarsch (2025)
The cast continues to get bigger and more impressive now that production is underway on Lionsgate’s The Long Walk, an adaptation of Stephen King’s 1979 novel. Deadline reports that Judy Greer (Halloween 2018, Cursed) and Mark Hamill (The Life of Chuck, “The Fall of the House of Usher”) are the latest additions.

Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) directs from a script by Jt Mollner (Strange Darling).

Stephen King penned The Long Walk under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. First published in 1979, the novel is set in future dystopian America ruled by an authoritarian.

In The Long Walk, “The country holds an annual walking contest in which 100 teens must journey, non-stop and under strict rules, until only one of them is still standing alive and receiving a prize. The story told of a 16-year old walker named Raymond Garraty and the teens, some good, some bad,...

“F***, yeah, I act. Put me in a movie”: Before MCU and Jurassic World, Chris Pratt Was So Desperate for a Gig He Starred in One of the Most Cursed Movies in Hollywood
Image
Ahead of holding the household title of Star Lord, following his appearance in MCU, Chris Pratt had seen his fair share of struggling days. Looking for his big break after dropping out of community college, Pratt starred in his earliest, lesser-known roles in Rae Dawn Chong’s satirical horror short, Cursed: Part III.

Chris Pratt as Star Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy | Marvel Studios

Well, the story of Chris Pratt’s days as a struggling actor goes somewhat this way, wherein, he had a brief encounter with Rae Dawn Chong, who offered him the role in her movie, only to stuck the completed film in a drawer. Although the film neither helped Pratt in achieving fame nor otherwise, the actor was quite blunt about his first desperate gig, as an actor.

Kieran Culkin And Jesse Eisenberg Talk ‘A Real Pain’, ‘Home Alone’ & ‘Succession’ At Tribeca Festival
Image
Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg talked, quipped, traded barbs and compliments and debated process in an hourlong wacky Tribeca Festival conversation tonight, having clearly bonded over A Real Pain. They star as mismatched cousins on a fraught road trip in the buzzy Sundance comedy set for fall release.

Eisenberg (Fleishman Is In Trouble) wrote and directed the film and said he’d never seen Culkin’s work before casting him. Or nothing recent. He acknowledged he’d seen Home Alone 17 times. The 1990 film was Culkin’s first feature. He played a small part alongside his brother, Macaulay Culkin. “I had no idea what the f–king movie was about” at the time, Culkin reminisced.

“You’re a magical person in my mind, because I don’t think I’ve ever really seen you in almost anything. And then, when I thought about you in the movie, I purposefully didn’t watch anything.

Katherine Langford in Cursed: Die Auserwählte (2020)
Wes Craven’s Cursed (the original version) – Wtf Happened to This Unmade Horror Movie
Katherine Langford in Cursed: Die Auserwählte (2020)
Cursed was a very fitting title for the 2005 werewolf movie that reteamed Scream director Wes Craven with screenwriter Kevin Williamson, because studio meddling ensured that the project – which had a promising start – ended up being a mess that bombed at the box office. The journey to the screen began in the year 2000, when Williamson wrote a script about a New York-based serial killer who discovers he’s a werewolf. Dimension decided to have Sean Hood and Tony Gayton do rewrites, turning Cursed into the story of a late night TV associate producer who gets attacked by a werewolf after a car crash on Mulholland Drive. Days before Craven was set to go into production on Pulse, a remake of the Japanese horror film Kairo, Dimension pulled him off that project (it ended up being the feature directorial debut of music video director Jim Sonzero) and threw him onto Cursed, which...

Alyssa Milano denies getting Shannen Doherty fired from Charmed
Image
When Prue Halliwell was killed off in the third season of Charmed, there was only one name to blame as far as fans were concerned. No, it wasn’t Shax but rather Alyssa Milano, whose reported behind-the-scenes feud with Shannon Doherty led to her onscreen sister dying in the season finale, “All Hell Breaks Loose.” Now, Milano is speaking out against the claim, saying she didn’t even have the pull to have someone removed from the show.

In an Instagram post, Alyssa Milano wrote of the allegations against her over the Charmed drama, “This was so long ago that any retelling of these stories from anyone is just revisionist history. I will add, though, with absolute certainty-everything was documented. There was a professional mediator (I was told Holly [Marie Combs] and Shannen would not participate in any mediation) and an on-set producer/babysitter who were both brought in to investigate all claims.

Image
Fans of Percy Jackson can find similar themes and tones in shows like Shadowhunters and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Cursed and Lockwood & Co. offer fantasy stories with elements of ancient myths, perfect for Percy Jackson viewers. The Owl House and Wednesday provide magical fish-out-of-water stories that are enjoyable for children and young adults.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians season 1 delivered a compelling fantasy story that's faithful to Rick Riordan's books, and with no official announcement regarding season 2, fans might be looking to fill the demigod-shaped hole in their hearts with shows like the Disney+ series. It's difficult to pinpoint series exactly like Percy Jackson, as Riordan's story walks a fine line between high-stakes fantasy and lighthearted comedy. It's also aimed at children and young adults, though it's relatable and timeless enough to appeal to mature audiences as well — particularly those who grew up with the books.

The Nsfw Dune 2 Popcorn Bucket Is a Toothy Nightmare You Can’t Unsee
Image
Exclusive popcorn buckets commemorating big new theatrical releases are par for the course these days, but nothing could prepare us for Dune 2‘s take on the container, which is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Frankly, we’re a bit uneasy about the idea of eating popcorn out of a sandworm, but others on the internet have had a different reaction to the snack vessel. Some folks are very hot and bothered over the toothy bucket.

The bucket, designed to look like an Arrakis sandworm is sticking out of it and ready to chomp down on your appendages, has become the butt of a few…unsavory jokes on social media, with more than a few references to a certain kind of sex toy as well as one particular Barry Keoghan scene in Saltburn…

I kid you not… these are the #Dune2 popcorn buckets...

One Upcoming YA Fantasy Adaptation Is The Fresh Twist On Arthurian Legend That TV Needs
Image
Arthurian legend needs a fresh twist to reinvigorate the genre, as recent adaptations have fallen short. Tracy Deonn's novel "Legendborn" is being adapted into a TV show, putting a unique spin on Arthurian legend. The success of Netflix's "Cursed" demonstrates that there is still a demand for King Arthur stories, setting the stage for the potential success of "Legendborn."

One upcoming young adult fantasy television adaptation has many fans of the genre excited, as it is shaping up to be the fresh twist on Arthurian legend that TV needs. The stories of King Arthur, his knights, and Merlin are some of the oldest tales in fantasy, with these classic stories helping to shape much of what modern fantasy has come to be known as. Image
Shadow Eliminators could be a replacement for Jujutsu Kaisen once it ends, but it needs to meet Shonen Jump's tough standards. Shadow Eliminators and Jujutsu Kaisen share similarities in terms of cursed spirits and moral-driven protagonists. For Shadow Eliminators to truly replace Jujutsu Kaisen, it needs a complex power system like Cursed Energy or do the unexpected and go for something simpler.

Warning: Spoilers for Shadow Eliminators chapter #1

A new Shonen Jump series called Shadow Eliminators could serve as a replacement for Jujutsu Kaisen once the veteran manga officially ends. Regardless, Shadow Eliminators and Jujutsu Kaisen share many similarities that fans might find exciting.

Jujutsu Kaisen appears to be in its final arc, even if series creator Gege Akutami assured fans that Jujutsu Kaisen...

Horror Movies That Should've Been Rated R
Image
In World Wrestling Entertainment, the period from July 22, 2008, to March 22, 2014, remains known as the "PG era," owing to how Vince McMahon adjusted the content to achieve a TV-pg rating after the TV-14 fare in the so-called "Attitude" and "Relentless Aggression" eras of the 1990s and early-to-mid 2000s. (via Sportscaster)

WWE had caught up with Hollywood, where a similar wave of chlorine had washed over mainstream cinema and sanitized dozens of projects including "Live Free or Die Hard," "Terminator Salvation," "Hancock," and "Fired Up." These films and many more were stripped of violence, swearing, and sexuality in order for the MPA to grant the studios a PG-13 rating and access to the lucrative teen demographic. Such money-mindedness proved bad enough for the action and comedy genres, but it was arguably even worse for horror filmmakers, who risked self-censorship unless they worked within the thriving "torture porn" fare of "Saw" and "Hostel.

Netflix's New Fantasy Show Cancellation Puts Even More Pressure On The Witcher Season 4
Image
Following recent cancelations, pressure is on for The Witcher season 4 to succeed as Netflix's fantasy shows have struggled to last past a couple of seasons. The cancelation of Shadow and Bone has put even more pressure on The Witcher, with the show's cast and crew feeling the need to perform above expectations to avoid a similar fate. With the recasting of Geralt and the scrutiny it has brought, season 4 of The Witcher must revert to its initial success to avoid an earlier end than expected.

Following the end of the 2023 Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strikes, Netflix canceled a handful of its original programming, including one fantasy television series, meaning that The Witcher season 4 is being put under even more pressure to succeed.
