Vijay Superum Paurnamiyum has lived upto my expectations. It is a good enough rom-com to watch and enjoy. Jis Joy has nothing new to offer in this movie and he hasn't changed his direction style we seen in his first two movies. Asif Ali and Aiswerya Lekshmi did a good job as Vijay and Paurnami but it is Siddique who shines in a supporting role. Overall, Vijay Superum Paurnamiyum is a good enough popcorn movie that you can enjoy with your family. Do not expect anything new from this movie.

"Vijay Superum, Pournamiyum" Malayalam movie. Romantic story played in the tune of comedy.

Even though, this is a remake of box office hit Telugu movie, it has been well garnished, as for the taste of 'Mallu-palates'. Story is of the shy, innocent, confused,B.Tech educated hero and MBA educated hyper-enthusiastic heroine who is out start a successful business ... their paths crossed due to a string of accidental incidents and happenings thereafter. For Asif Ali, this role is tailor-made, he has done similar roles before. Aiswarya Lakshmi as the lady lead is smart and takes the story forwards, well. Script original Telugu, but screenplay and dialogues are local-above par and one liners are excellent. 8 on 10 for this comedy presentation, comical dialogues and advices are contemporary and socially valuable. At times, the situations and dialogues may give you a 'deja vu' feeling (similar scenes in other movies)... think again, in a similar situation, even we would have used the similar words. First half was slow, but comedy kept entertaining, later part is more serious stuff with lesser dose of comedy. Director has done well as in his previous outings. Music is commendable.

Vijay superum pournamiyum is a good comedy-drama and is a definite one time watch, but with flaws.

First of all the story line was pretty good for a movie of this genre (even though it's a remake) and the progression of the plot is also actually pretty good until when it comes to the end of the movie where its quality drops. The dialogues were good as well. But many comedy scenes and one-liners were not really that funny, but still it was decent.

The performances from the cast are good as well. Asif Ali and Aishwarya Lekshmi did a decent job with the characters (though not the best of performances) and most others did fine as well (Siddique was good as always). But I was not convinced with performance of Renji Panicker especially with his comedy part. He was not that funny. The role was not apt for him.

I don't understand why Joseph Annamakutty Jose was cast in this movie. He definitely has nothing at all to do and just has minimal dialogues and screen presence. Balu Varghese was more than enough as a supporting cast to Asif and casting of Joseph was unnecessary.

Again when the story reaches the climax, the presentation was not that good and dialogues became over dramatic at times. The presentation of the climax could have been made simpler rather than including complex scenarios and over dramatic dialogues. (The radio interview scenes)

Again the bgm thoughout the movie was just SO overused and was just irritating at times.

Overall, it is a good movie in the comedy-drama genre. Who can watch: People who love simple yet emotional 'feel good' movies can definitely go for this one.

Inspiring feelgood movie, you'll feel so happy at the end. Lots of touching moments throughout. First half is superb.

It's a good movie to watch. Good story, direction, cast,songs. A Worth watch.

This is good but not better than original version.the original version was just aweome. If u have time watch this and also original version.

Gone with out much expectations,but this movie was a nice refreshing experience. This movie has some nice comedies,good story with a message will be enjoyable for youth as well as family audience. Songs and background music are good especially song "Pournami superalleda". Technical side and cinematography are also up to the mark.Both Asif Ali and Aishwarya Lakshmi acted very well.This movie will be definitely going to be a hit of this year.

Gives us a luggage of emotions , laughs, , love and eternal feel..that we miss...a good movie leaving marks behind..heart warming and yet music too adds support..

Directed by Jis Joy, this is a good one time watch movie. An accidental pennukanal at the wrong house where the prospective bride and groom gets locked in a room, results in a long conversation. Conversation in which it is clear that he is talented but aimless and disorganized. And she is focused and disciplined. So bring them together, and it's the perfect business. Of good food and good music on wheels. Fun to watch Renji Panicker and Siddique as respective supportive dads. Darshana Rajendran was really good as supporting actress. Chitra has a short but beautiful role, just lovely to hear her sing on the streets.

This movie is the exact copy of PELLICHOOPULU (2016) , a Telugu movie. Not even a single movie scene is different from PELLICHOOPULU. I'm not saying that the movie's not great. But I believe every story has to be unique and not a copy

Actors give life to this movie. Especially Aiswarya. Such a natural acting. We can't say she is acting.

Vijay Superum Pournamiyum (ENG: Vijay Super and Pournami), much like its Malayalam title, is a slightly weird film that tackles the unspoken love between people in the modern age. Writer-director Jis Joy narrates the story of independent aspiring entrepreneur Pournami (Aishwarya Lekshmi) and failed Engineer-turned chef Vijay (Asif Ali) as they begin their journey together first as potential partners and then as business partners. While the latter part is a mopey emotional take on the subject, I was fascinated by what Joy had to present in the first half. There a bride-meeting ceremony turns into a believable setting of comedy (thanks for ample help from Renji Panicker and Devan) which is possibly the only fresh thing to come out of Vijay Superum Pournamiyum, which depends on its characters' philosophical ideologies to make a point or two about relationships, entrepreneurship, and unity. Special nod to Siddique for pulling off a character that will stay with you longer than the film will. TN.

A feel good movie which keeps you entertained from start to finish. A job well done by the entire team. Felt it should have been marketed a little more to have the desired and deserving resonance. Watch it without a second thought. :)

Please... Don't ruin our movies. This is arguably one of the worst remakes of a Telugu movie ever made.

What were the makers thinking?

I usually don't write any reviews except for the movies which I personally like. So this is one of my recent favourites. The movie has an interesting plot (even though it is a remake). But Jis Joy succeeded in making the movie according to Mallu tastes. I watched it with my family and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. All the songs in the movie were well placed and soo soothing to hear. This is one of the movie which I would love to watch again and again.

Its a feel good movie..a good entertainer for a complete family.
