    A weird and wild ride

This is a slow-burn, stone-faced, and truly strange film, so don't go into it expecting a slapstick horror-comedy.

It's an indie film, with a low budget, and weird pacing (sometimes huge time gaps between scenes).

If you like really weird stuff, you should watch this.

I spent a lot of the film wondering if it would be worth it and worried that it wouldn't deliver, butt it's definitely worth it. I wish it had been a little faster or shorter or more interesting during chunks, butt it was still a great experience.

It has really similar vibes to Bug with Michael Shannon.

I wouldn't recommend this to most people, butt this is *definitely* a film for those who like bizarre experiences and can stick with the slow pacing.

    Not a comedy

Definitely not a comedy. There is not one funny moment. This is a crime thriller with a sci fi twist. But even then it is somewhat slow. Usually crime thrillers attempt to keep you on the edge of your seat. This movie does not. It is not interested in plot twists or interesting reveals. Str8 out the gate you know this guy puts things up his butt and they disappear. You might think you are going into the movie wondering HOW, or WHY. Or even what happens when things go up his butt. But that is not the case. What you get is a slow burn that dives into the concepts of obsessive compulsiveness and how it can cause a bored socipath in a humdrum life to all of a sudden go from IT professional to child killer after a rude prostate examination (if you can call being put up someone's butt being "killed")

It is a good movie, but a very slow burn. The actors are okay for their part. I couldn't get over the paint used on the cop's beard... it sparkles in the light from the metals in the paint lol. Horrible makeup, except on the guy's butt.... they did a good job with that. The score is beautiful... it makes the slow tense moments actually bearable, otherwise it would be too slow to handle. I think the filmmakers needed to pad some run time with some slow motion. Which is odd because they had plenty to work with for extra scenes: the wife's "friends" that she hung out with when the tv controller disappeared, the relationship between the main character and his boss, more character development with the cop, and even an explanation of who is the black guy that appears at the end of the movie with the woman at the hospital.

Overall this was a great concept with an okay execution. Many may judge this movie on the fact that it is a movie about a butt pirate, but there is some value in this movie as a look at obsessive compulsive behavior of a sociopathic killer.

I give it 6/10, but it would have been a 5/10 if it wasn't for the score.

    Challenged My Expectations

I've been following Tiny Cinema forever and been waiting for this movie. I have to say, it's not at all what I expected, but somehow exactly what I expected. A comedy played as a thriller. If you've seen their sketches, this is what they do best. DO NOT expect a full-blown comedy, you will be highly disappointed. But instead if you watch it with an open mind and look at this movie as a low-budget satire on cop thrillers and melodramas, you will be blown away. It can be both hilarious and gut wrenching at the same time, while leaving you fully immersed in this insane plot, unsure of exactly where it's going next. And believe me, the last 20 minutes is worth getting to, despite some slow spots in the middle.

The writing, direction, cinematography is all pretty good. It's clever in it's execution.

    7.5/10

I don't get the reviewers who liked it but gave it a 4. Like what?

    Watch this crazy movie!

I knew I had to see this movie based on the premise, and it's even weirder than that. There are lots of gross happenings and it's far from a masterpiece, but I had a grin throug most of it and I would recommend seeing it at least once.

    Absurd concept executed brilliantly

Well I started watching this after reading a brief synopsis expecting a silly stupid Z movie.

Now don't get me wrong the idea/concept behind the film is absurd and ridiculous yet somehow they managed to pull it off.

The deeper meaning/ideology inside is that of addiction and the knock on affect of its destructive nature yet at the same time it's not entirely a metaphor.

The narrative and pacing suck you in, as well as the excellent cinamotgraphy, everything is familiar in a serious 90s cop movie kind of way as well as other 90s classics such as Clerks Pulp Fiction and Seven.

Even the main role plays a homage to De Niro without it coming off as a parody. The acting overall was good with a only a few weaker performances from very minor characters who have little screen time but nothing to make the Stomach churn.

Even when things get even more absurd it only makes you want to watch more to find out how it all comes out at the end. At the same time the entire thing is played as deadly serious as a noir classic with only a few subtle hints at humour.

I don't know which crazy mind this came from but bravo to the creators for having the balls to put it out there and do it with such brilliance. Even with the madness that I just witnessed I still managed to come away with a deeper meaning while at the same time a wry smile on my face.

If this does not become a cult classic I'll be surprised, its probably too much to ' stomach ' for many ( although not as bad as many other films ), they don't shove something in your face just for shock value either, everything is there for a reason to help things make sense out of the nonsensical.

This is what film making is about, whatever you are making, make it good and use all the tools at your disposal to engage and envelope the audience.

Bravo to all involved, it must have been difficult given the subject somehow you managed to avoid making a turd.....

    8/10 can't fault it

Chip Gutchel is the real name of director Tyler Cornack's God father. He always thought it was a funny name so they used it in the movie.

Chief Lazarra: So you're asking me to go off this theory you got about a white married male, who happens to be a father, living in the suburbs of critica county, who also happens to be your AA sponsor, which I might add, has been secretly running around, cramming objects, animals, and children up his asshole. Then he somehow digest them and he does this in sprees almost in a serial killer fashion. Is that about it?

Detective Russel Fox: Uh huh. Well I'm not entirely sure about the whole uh, digestive system part, but yeah. And it seems the more objects this guy is putting up his ass, uhh... the stronger he's getting. That's my theory, anyway.
