The Jester, Dread’s hallucinatory Halloween-set chiller that quietly and quickly earned a cult following since its initial release, is now streaming on Tubi. It’s another banger distributed by our sister company Dread, the same lunatics behind cult genre titles like Terrifier, Beezel, and Benny Loves You.

Directed by Colin Krawchuk and based on a series of viral short films, The Jester tells the story of two sisters who, on an otherwise quiet Halloween night, find themselves stalked by a mysterious and seemingly supernatural trickster. The Jester—part mime, part magician, all menace—communicates only through gesture and expression, but his actions speak louder than you can scream.

The Jester was a hit for Dread, resonating with fans of indie horror, the Terrifier franchise, and horror hounds craving something off the beaten path.

When you think of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, it’s easy to assume Charlie Day might be the one stacking the most cash, given his wild popularity and creative chops. And if not Charlie, surely co-creator Rob McElhenney, right?

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Glenn Howerton scored rave reviews for his turn in the sitcom A.P. Bio — and the show deserved much better than an early cancelation. Since its four seasons arrived on Netflix, A.P. Bio has climbed the streaming charts to become a huge success. It’s a shame that success has come so late, because the series always struggled for viewership when it was actually on the air. In its initial run, it got canceled due to low viewership (more than once).

Howerton leads the A.P. Bio cast as Jack Griffin, a Harvard professor who’s forced to go back to his hometown and work at a high school after losing his dream job to his academic rival. This role made great use of the comedic strengths that Howerton has refined on It’s Always Sunny. Like Dennis Reynolds, Jack is vindictive and filled with rage.

The wedding bells are ringing for Mayan (Mayan Lopez) and Quinten (Matt Shively) in Season 3 of Lopez vs. Lopez. But as we've started to realize, it's not going to be all flowers until the day they say their wedding vows. In a new sneak peek that Collider can exclusively share from NBC, we're introduced to Quintens parents Sam and Ruthie, played by guest stars Stephen Tobolowsky (Nobody Wants This) and Vicki Lawrence (The Cool Kids). The episode is appropriately titled "Lopez vs. In-Laws," and it airs this Friday, November 1.

The hit NBC sitcom, Lopez Vs Lopez, combines family comedy vibes with a touch of dramatic gravitas thanks to themes of addiction and recovery that permeate every episode. George Lopez stars as an alcoholic who is forced to move in with his estranged daughter and her fiancee, Quinten (Matt Shively), with the ensuing hijinks making for quality sitcom entertainment with an extra dose of pathos and serious moments for a somewhat more mature viewing experience.

Season 1 saw the introduction of Quinten's father, Sam, played by Stephen Tobolowsky, but for Season 3's "Lopez Vs In-Laws," Sam has backup in the form of his wife, Ruthie, played by comedy legend Vicki Lawrence. Best known for her role as Thelma Harper in the 1980s sitcom, Mama's Family, Lawrence originated that role as part of her tenure on the classic sketch comedy variety program, The Carol Burnett Show.

Comic actor Martin Mull, who's appeared in a variety of memorable roles over the course of his career, has passed away. He was 80 years old.

The news was announced on Instagram by Maggie Mull, the actor's daughter. Including a photo of Mull with a canine companion, Maggie included a message sharing that her father had died on Thursday. She went on to describe how much he will be missed by not only his friends, family, and co-workers, but his animal pals as well.

Martin Mull, who played Colonel Mustard in Clue, Roseanne’s boss Leon Carp in the ABC comedy Roseanne and starred on Norman Lear’s Fernwood 2 Nite, died Thursday at his home. He was 80.

The news was revealed by his daughter Maggie Mull, an exec producer on Family Guy.

“I am heartbroken to share that my father passed away at home on June 27th, after a valiant fight against a long illness. He was known for excelling at every creative discipline imaginable and also for doing Red Roof Inn commercials. He would find that joke funny. He was never not funny. Call Me Kat season 3 has set the airdate for Leslie Jordan's final appearance on the show. The veteran actor, who is still remembered by many for his role Beverly Leslie in Will & Grace, starred in the Mayim Bialik-led Fox sitcom as Phil, the extremely sweet-natured head baker at Kat's Café. Jordan's Phil has been a regular on Call Me Kat since its premiere, but unfortunately, the actor passed away last month in a car crash after experiencing a medical episode while driving to the show's sets. After the actor's passing his Call Me Kat co-stars shared emotional tributes to their favorite colleague, and now the show is finally preparing to address his death on-screen as well.

As announced by TVLine, after Leslie Jordan's death, Phil will make his final Call Me Kat appearance on December 1, with the eighth episode of season 3, titled “Call Me Fancy Puffenstuff.

Fox announced this week that the special episode will air Thursday, December 1 at 9:30/8:30c.

Deadline revealed Thursday that Jordan's former Cool Kids castmate Vicki Lawrence will appear in an upcoming episode as Phil's mother, Lurlene Crumpler.

“We know the spirit of Phil will certainly be with her,” executive producer Jim Patterson tells Deadline.

“It’s going to be fun to have that character doing some of the same in-jokes we did when Phil was there."

Lawrence is set to appear in one episode at this stage but could appear in more episodes down the line.

News of Jordan's final episode comes just weeks after the tragic news of his passing following a car accident.

Following the death of series regular Leslie Jordan, who Lawrence co-starred alongside in Fox’s The Cool Kids, she will portray his character Phil’s mother Lurlene Crumpler. Lurlene is a no-nonsense woman who fills in as the cafe’s baker while he’s on vacation.

“Leslie’s death absolutely affected the storylines,” series executive producer Maria Ferrari revealed to Deadline. “We can exclusively confirm that Phil’s mother will be featured in an episode that we’re shooting right now. We cast Leslie’s friend Vicki Lawrence in the role.”

The legendary TV actor has signed on to host “Squeaky Clean,” a cleaning competition series in the pipeline at Quibi, Variety has learned exclusively.

“Squeaky Clean” will pit three cleaning-obsessed contestants against each other in two competitive rounds – “Quick Scrub” and “The Big Clean” – from shiniest floor in studio competition history. Jordan will be joined in the show by lifestyle host and designer Sabrina Soto, who will serve as the resident cleaning and organization expert, appearing in every episode alongside a celebrity judge.

Netflix has canceled the musical drama “Soundtrack” after one season, Variety has confirmed.

The series had originally been set up as a pilot at Fox before moving to the streamer with a series order. It was described as a romantic musical drama that looked at the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds. The first and only season debuted on Dec. 18.

It starred Paul James, Callie Hernandez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Jenna Dewan, Jahmil French, Megan Ferguson, Isaiah Givens, Madeleine Stowe, and Campbell Scott. The question of whether multi-camera sitcoms are a dying breed isn’t a new one. The few remaining purveyors of the format, including “The Big Bang Theory” executive producer Chuck Lorre, have been asked that question for years.

But even as Lorre ventures into the single-camera world with such shows as the Golden Globe-winning “The Kominsky Method” and has gotten a taste of success in that arena, he’s not turning his back on multicam.
