You know what? This isn't a bad little movie. For a low budget British film, it has a few decent action scenes and inventive bloody moments.
The script can be a bit of a mess and has a villain as hammy as porky pig. Also some one-liners seemed very forced, but in part it can be quite funny. The saving factor for the film are the fight scenes. Not quite The Raid quality, but I've seen much worse in Hollywood big-budget films, so the film is worth viewing for the fights alone. 7/10

While there were a few "good moments", overall, the film suffered from the same problem many action films of this particular genre have.
The "heroes" aren't the smartest people out there. I realize that some obvious choices by the main characters must be made to move the story along. But most people would not make some of the really foolish choices that so many movie characters make.
If you are being pursued by villains who are trying to kill you, and you get the advantage over one of them, why wouldn't you make sure they are dead before you move on? I see it in so many movies. The hero incapacitates one of the bad guy, then runs off. Even if you are a good person who doesn't believe in killing another person, if that person has demonstrated that they are going to kill you, why wouldn't you kill them first? If I were being chased by killers and I knock one unconscious, I would grab the nearest blunt object and insure that they wouldn't be following me later. If not kill them, at least crush both legs so they will never be able to use them. Or destroy their kneecaps so they won't be able to stand.
If you kill a bad guy and they drop their gun, why doesn't anyone ever pick up the weapon??? That would be item 1 on my list. Item 2 would be to check how much ammo there was in the weapon and search the corpse for reloads.
If you don't do everything possible (and logical) to survive the scenario, you don't deserve to make it. By the end of the film there were only 2 people who I cared about enough to hope they survived. The rest.. Not so much.

Great film from talented people this film deserves a better rating and is deffinatly on my recommend list as I talk about it to everyone. Those fighting scenes my gosh!
Brilliant, easy to watch, fight scenes are exciting, and surprisingly not predictable. Love the British humour and one liners, very entertaining.

The plot is typical of hundreds of films of this type, but its done with more style and imagination than most. Most kung fu fight scenes in other films I find confusing and boring with bodies and limbs flying about in a tangled mess, but here they come across more convincingly. Considering the film has no star power to carry it everyone acts well albeit tongue in cheek at times. Obviously this film borrows heavily on Die Hard, but hey who cares, well entertaining over a few beers with brain in neutral, go for the ride!
Caught this at Raindance and went to see it again the very next day. So glad I got to see it.
Great script! Fantastic characters! I especially loved the actor playing the director and your man from Shameless as the sound Guy was incredible. The action was way above what you normally see!

At first I thought this was the wrong film. It opens with a completely different title and zombies. Then it is revealed that we were just watching an iPad of the film being made by our titular 'nightshooters'. Things start very funny and descend into violence and death with some great action that caught me completely off guard. And it kept going. When it ended I immediately wanted to watch it again with a bunch of friends. Definitely a social affair. Highly recommended

A good mix of comedy, action, and even a little bit of emotion! The fights are awesome, the set up is decent and the story carries through. Definitely recommended.

I would say that considering the budget you simply will not find a better action film made this year. A movie cocktail of Martial-Arts, Black Comedy, Gangster Heist, Pastiche, Horror-Slasher and Action styles that perhaps shouldn't work but does and does so very well.
It's all in the editing for me which has created a film that cleverly straddles sending itself up and offering genuine emotional drama. Unlike Sean of the Dead (which I love) that plays for laughs all the way through, Nightshooters has some real poignancy and the end is really quite harrowing. The FX are great and the limited set (an old building) is used well, to the point where it doesn't feel repetitive.
Acting-wise Nick Aaron is superb as O'Hara and Mica Proctor touching as Kim but everyone is good - even those with just a line or two. Jean-Paul Ly as Donnie is certainly a stunning acrobat and fighter. However, I do feel he has not peaked yet as an actor and screen presence. He was good, but you can sense more to come in future roles.
I will certainly keep an eye out for more films for this team.

A refreshingly reflexive film hidden in an all-in-one night action movie. The mundane is transformed into the spectacular with sophisticatedly choreographed fight scenes which bring a dynamism to the screen. Go watch it!

Completely unexpected gem. Clever story, good script, strong acting, fantastic fight choreography, decent cast (won't be known outside the UK, but all good), well paced, great action, witty lines well delivered throughout. I'm really blown away. Its minimalist in terms of sets and setting, and strangely rich in terms of film content - its really not your run of the mill action flick, but something far more clever and enjoyable. If you don't enjoy what this team have created, you really shouldn't be watching film as a medium. A well spent 2 hours of great entertainment.

Surprising and highly entertaining indie action thriller with a solid laugh count. The beautifully executed action set pieces are particularly kinetic, directed with a fluidity and clarity that is rare to find even in higher budget fare.

A film that mixes comedy with violence and death in a way that constantly takes you by surprise. Not a dull moment from beginning to end..This what the British film industry does best...Ranks with "Lock stock and two smoking barrels".
Brilliantly written, quality director and cast, must watch!
