Leeza (12), who lives high up in the mountains in northern Pakistan, dreams of becoming a good footballer so she can be selected to play for the new league team, win a scholarship and see the world. At night Leeza gazes up at the stars and talks to her departed father about her dreams. But there is just one problem: Leeza is not very good at football. In fact, she is really quite bad, and the other girls on the local football team don't want to pass the ball to her. But Leeza's younger sister, Leena (11), promises to help. Together, the two sisters start training hard in the steep rocky hills, so Leeza can improve her football skills - and just maybe - be chosen to play for the new league team.

Gaia and Giulia are twins. They are 14 years old and love rowing. Together they train for the annual gondola race La Regata Storica. A race that has brought all of Venice together for the last 700 years. Here they will compete against some of Venice's best sailors. Their father is a proud gondolier himself and has high expectations for his two daughters. Both Gaia and Giulia have great temperaments, but beyond that they are very different. Their disagreements repeatedly prevent them from doing their best when sailing. But they will have to find a way to work together if they are to win the race and make their father proud.

Kaw is 11 years old. She lives along the river in the slums of Klong Toey with her father, mother and big brother. Her mother is a local hairdresser and her father works for the local municipality, when he can. Kaw's house has always been filled with music. Her father often plays the guitar, to which Kaw loves to sing along. Her dream is to become a famous pop-singer and perform in front of a big audience. Kaw's talent and love of singing is noticed by the local music school. Kaw is a bit shy and is nervous to sing at a local concert. To give Kaw the courage, her schoolteacher gives her tickets to a concert with her favorite popstar. And she even gets to meet her backstage. With advice from the famous pop singer and with the support from her best friend next door, she finds the courage to sing at the local concert.

Emine (10) lives in the small town, Pazar, in North East Turkey. Her best friend is Eda Nur (11). There has just been an earthquake 400 km away from where they live. Through the news they learn that many people have died and buildings have collapsed. With the backdrop of fearing the possibility of an earthquake hitting where the girls live, we learn about their friendship and its ups and downs. The girls have to prepare for their first Turkish bagpipe concert. But Emine is jealous of Eda Nur's skills and that challenges her in keeping up the good friendship. Through the interactions between the two girls, we hope for Emine to acknowledge that her and Edanur are good at different things and that she sees the strengths of that in their friendship.
