After 13 months — and one barren autumn devoid of the new season listeners had come to crave — hit podcast Heavyweight is set to return with new episodes in 2025 as host Jonathan Goldstein and his team of producers join Malcolm Gladwell’s Pushkin Industries.
Consistently cited as one of the best podcasts ever made, Heavyweight finds Goldstein masterfully balancing humor and empathy as he seeks to resolve people’s longest-standing regrets and unanswered questions. The show looks to create a space for the kinds of difficult conversations that most of us put off or avoid entirely — encouraging the idea that we have a right to push back in our relationships, that wrongs can be righted, and that it’s never too late to make amends or ask for answers.
“We’re so excited to be back," said Goldstein. "We have more beautiful stories to tell, and we’re looking forward to telling them in collaboration with Pushkin,...

Popular podcast Heavyweight is returning to the air waves.
The show, hosted by Jonathan Goldstein, is joining Malcolm Gladwell’s Pushkin Industries after a 13-month hiatus. Heavyweight was formerly produced by Spotify’s Gimlet Media, but was canceled at the end of 2023.
The show, which has already run for eight seasons, sees Goldstein help people resolve long-standing regrets and unanswered questions. A new season is expected to start in the fall, with some new episodes coming as early as this spring.
“We’re so excited to be back,” Goldstein said. “We have more beautiful stories to tell, and we’re looking forward to telling them in collaboration with Pushkin, a place that understands what it takes to make ambitious narrative work and sets the bar high.”
The new episodes will be produced by Pushkin Industries and distributed by iHeartPodcasts, with episodes available everywhere podcasts are streamed.

The Dillinger Escape Plan’s 2013 album One of Us Is the Killer has inspired a new graphic novel of the same name, arriving in the near future via Sumerian Comics.
Rock & Roll Hell creators Sam Romesburg and Ben Roberts were inspired by the album title to pen the original story, which was then influenced by various concepts within the LP’s songs and lyrics. Visual artist Greg Di Angilla (Rock & Roll Hell) and colorist Warnia Sahadewa (Doctor Who) are credited with the cover art and colors, respectively.
The plot synopsis reads: “A string of assassinations made by a politically-motivated killer known only to the public as The Quill serves as the spark to ignite a full scale revolution. Set in a technologically advanced American City in the not too distant future, Vertical Integration Corp. has seized all means of production and capital available, creating a financial synergy unlike any that has ever existed.

One of South Korea’s most profitable directors, Choi Dong-hoon has his last two films “The Thieves” and “Assassinaton” in the top ten highest grossing Korean films of all times at the South Korean box office. Even his two films preceding those, “Jeon Woo-chi: The Taoist Wizard” and “Tazza: The High Rollers”, feature in the top sixty on the same list. Though he was set to return with the thriller “Wiretap”, that project has since been shelved after its lead star Kim Woo-bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. But he has now locked into his latest project, which will be a simultaneously filmed two-part sci-fi film featuring aliens.
Two of South Korea’s brightest young talents , Ryu Jun-yeol and Kim Tae-ri, have already signed on star in both parts of the series. While other actors are still to be confirmed, Choi Dong-hoon is known to work with superstars who often return for his future projects.
