Charming and genuinely funny

My favorite genre of movie is "Nancy Meyers chick flick". Gorgeous interior decorating, lots of light, female characters that are women I hope to grow up to be, and a good dose of humor. This movie checked all my boxes. Loved it.

From a guys point of view. Totally predictable. Enjoyed the music. Wife made me watch it.

Hated the daughters

I loved the main 4 ladies. But Alicia Silverstone and the other one were obnoxious and intolerable. So whiny and controlling. Ruined the movie for me.

A burst-out-laughing movie!

Candice Bergen stole the show! The movie provided several opportunities for soda to squirt out your nose! The music was really good, but esp the Meat Ball song coordinated with the dance scene. Glad Nelson got out of his tiresome funk. Would have loved more Dreyfus---w/ Candice. They were honestly adorable. And lastly, I wanted to put Garcia in my purse and bring him home! Cute cute cute. Lucky Keaton. Lucky lucky lucky.

Most laughs I've had in a long time

Some of these bad reviews here must be humorless sad sacks who find little joy in life. I found this a delightful way to spend part of an afternoon with a friend! It was what I expected from trailer, nothing more, nothing less. I go to a movie to be entertained, not to pick apart everyone's physical attributes. Lighten up, have fun, enjoy the music.

When Mitchell walks out of the cockpit while acting as Captain, he has several days' beard growth. Pilots are not allowed to have facial hair except for a mustache that does not exceed the corners of their mouth. This is due to the tight-seal requirements while using a rapid-donning oxygen mask in the event of the loss of pressurization in the cabin. Any sort of a beard prevents a tight seal of the mask and, thus, is not allowed.
