No dialogue in this one, just very effective sound effects and some eerie music. The acting by the one person is very well directed, the camera angles are pretty clever and do a damn good job with the suspense. If you haven't seen this short, do yourself a favor and go watch it on their youtube channel, it will take you no more than 20 minutes to watch, it really is a tiny gem which more horror fans should know about.

The movie was absolutely awesome! I loved it! The visual effects and the makeup on the monster was great. For a short movie i think that it was one of the best and could became a big movie. The camera operator took so good shots but the weather i think also helped them to create those fantastic scenes.

I hope turn it into a big movie!

I just watched this film during midnight with 100% volume with my headset, closed the lights and the door of my room. I have to admit that it was pretty scary especially in the end of the episode. The only negative from me is that it was just a bit boring in some scenes. It would be much better to speed the plot a bit in these scenes ( in the beginning). Also, i believe that you could have make the last scene even scarier :)

To conclude, it was a really interesting and scary film and i recommend it to anyone who likes that genre of movies. Congratulations Unboxholics for this movie.

The cinema's industry in Greece is at low point making for the most part dumb romantic comedies(I want to threw up) or what we call social movies ,really man ,really ,that is beyond dump and offensive to the film making process in general.

However in the internet my country ,goes very well, more than that it thrives with countless talented ,funny Youtubers ,who make an incredible variety of material. And Lurking Near is with out a doubt such a product and more than that it is the very first film (though a short one) of the horror genre produced here. The channel from which was made is called Unboxholics and for the most part the guys do critics against video-games and technology stuff in general and make comedy . Granted it is a common true that good comedians have a dark side which they rarely show and Lurking Near is exactly that .

To the video it self, we follow a man who goes for work in the woods and after a while finds out that he isn't alone. And then suspense that would make Hichkock proud, pitch perfect camera, sound and environment use. Also all this about 21 minutes film is dialogue free, so all the emotions must come out from body language and the protagonist doesn't disappoint.

Over all this film shows that without a lot money, material and with dedication and organization go can get something good, even excellent. To the Unboxholics keep the good work and who know one day, a feature film from Greece will take elements from you and finally break the cycle of disappointments
