The Weald and Downland Museum, where the show is filmed, is a museum of old buildings reconstructed on a single site. There are around 50 buildings on display. It is normally possible to visit the Repair Shop's barn, but when there is no filming in progress it is just an empty (and not especially large) barn; the work desks and decorations are only present during filming, which seems to take place for a few weeks 3-4 times per year. On rare occasions, the barn is open to the public during breaks in filming and is set up as The Repair Shop.

Disabled access is available along a tarmacked path to the Visitor Centre around 300 yards away. The Visitor Centre is carefully hidden from view during most of filming but can be seen in occasional aerial shots.
