Ok, I admit I only lasted ten minutes so this COULD be an unfair review, but honestly that was the worst acting I have ever seen in my life. It was actually painful to watch.
This movie clearly has fake reviews. Just watching the trailer told me that. But if you want a laugh - watch the first scene. It is hilarious. The acting in this movie is atrocious. The only person who has the remotest acting ability is the actor who played Roy. The plot has more holes than swiss cheese. We sadly watched the movie in its entirety and that hour and forty minutes felt like twelve hours. It was just awful except for a few comedic moments that were clearly not intended. #ishedead
If people are expecting a movie with multi million dollar well known actors you'll be let down except that if given a chance this movie has a great story line.
In today's world , we need more of what was portrayed in this movie , you know WWJD : forgiveness, compassion, selflessness and love for those falsely considered to be " less than ".
Those that gave this movie low reviews need to that realize some movies do not need cussing, nudity, graphic violence and meaningless plots. In fact most movies like that might be popular but contribute to a world of why we need movies like The Open Door.

This production handles the problems that special needs people deal with on a daily basis. As a vintage teacher I saw the rudeness and unkindness shown to special needs children because of people's ignorance to the problem. It's time someone addressed these issues. Salty Earth did an outstanding job on their production of "The Open Door". Special needs people are wonderful, loving, smart individuals, we just don't give them a chance. God says we should love one another. He didn't say only love the super intelligent, good looking, well to do people. Remember He died for all. Great thanks to the Zantos and Jesus Cares group for doing an outstanding job of "telling it like it is". This film truly touched my heart and will touch yours as well. Thank you to all involved and keep up the good work!
This is a lovely film that sheds light on the disabled and brings awareness to a population often overlooked.
