The sequel to a remake that no one asked for is finally here. This time around Anees Bazmee takes over as director and Kartik Aaryan replaces Akshay Kumar in this spiritual sequel that has a spirit with the same name. They should have titled the film Manjulika 2 instead of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Anyway, the sequel is set in a haunted mansion in rural Rajasthan (because cities like Mumbai, Delhi do not host spirits). The daughter and bride to be, Reeti fakes her death to help her sister get married. Ruhan (a total stranger, who she knows for less than 24hrs) accompanies her to the mansion and pretends that he can speak to Preeti's ghost and convinces her family to stay there. Little do they know that Manjulika, a spirit locked away in the mansion is waiting to be set free.

Among the positives, the sequel doesn't take itself too seriously. That's a good thing. There are some hilarious moments thanks to the trio of Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra & Ashwini kalsekar. The films have always cast a talented actress in the lead and this time it is Tabu (taking over from Vidya Balan). She is flawless as always. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani do justice to their roles. Rajesh Sharma, Milind Gunaji & Amar Upadhyay co-star.

The problem with the film is its predictable chain of events. Many of the lighter moments are pretty obvious as well. The twist at the end wasn't a huge surprise because once the priest died there could have only been one "logical" conclusion. Come to think of it, many of the deaths don't make sense now given the big reveal.

Anyway, I am pretty sure moviegoers will lap this up because only mindless, senseless films make sense these days. Nevertheless, it does manage to entertain you for most part.

Illogical no brainer story, no acting. Nothing unique. Kartick Aryan does his usual acting. Not complaining, it's good. In fact, seldom comedy is the only thing which can make you sit for 2.5 hour. It's a cocktail of dull comedy with boring horror. Overly long and dragging. Won't matter if you watch it on big screen or Ott. I suggest better watch Dhaakad, there at least you will see some good action and impactful villains on big screen.

For a one time watch the movie is fine but the climax is literally bad. Every next scene is predictable but few actors like Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra hold the graph of the movie by their talent.

Just put your brain aside and enjoy the entertainment.

The story and screenplay of the movie is not so good. Except for a few scenes in the movie, all the other scenes are very simple. The movie can't be called a comedy movie and there are no special horror scenes in the movie. However, since there is no story in the movie, this movie is worth watching only once. It will be boring to see the second time. The music in the film is very good. Overall flop movie. It will be a waste of time, money and energy.

The movie is filled with illogical scenes. Nothing in this movie keeps you engaged.

The comedy : Except a few scenes you will find hard that when will we get to laugh?

Rajpal yadav and sanjay mishra's talent in this movie is totally wasted.

The horror : the director does a very poor job in executing horror scenes. Nothing in the movie will scare you. Only kids below 10 may get scared by those jump scares used in the movie.

The acting : I don't complain that the actors didn't do their job well. They did well with whatever scene was given to job. The problem is with stretchy illogical scenes which will make them look bad.

The climax They have just copied it from some bollywood movie. I dont remember the name but bipasha basu was in it. If they would had atleast executed it well then it may had looked better.

I just waited for the movie to get over.

Its good that akshay kumar didnt choose to do this movie. It would had been complete injustice.

I don't understand why the movie is getting such high rating. Please watch it on ott it doesn't deserve the big screen.

Bhool bhulaiya had a reason behind the madness.

How akshay kumar went to central india and found the reason for Manjaulika uprising.

The sequel is is made with no logic. The makers should watch the original again and try to understand the movie 🎥 before the sequel.

Do makers watch the movie before releasing it.

I am surprised to see Tabu act in such a movie.

This shows actors take movies to pay their bills. Inflation is taking a toll on art.

Kartik Aryan has increased his fees post this movie. Well if this gets him to cloud 9 then i think i am a better actor then this guys.

Kiara is ok not much acting to do Shiney Ahuja acted better then all the actors together in 2.0.

AK , Vidya Balan, Paresh Raval, Manoj Joshi Vikram Ghokhale cant compare their art with the present cast.

Frankly i think producer had money and was scared of another round of notebandhi so he made this movie to get rid of his black money.

Just a small tip for producer: Invest money on storyline

For Bhool bhulaiya 3.0 please watch the original 10 times and then make it.

Kartik doing same thing what he did in Pyaar ka Punchnama 2, SKTKS & Luka Chupi, Kiara shines for 2minutes in this 2hr 20+min flick that too in a song. Her Acting was below average.. Rajpal Yadav & Rajesh Sharma d only saving grace in Comedy. Sanjay Mishra crossed all overacting skill he has.. Tabu felt like had to hold herself as the script didn't do justice wid her twice!!

The Part 1 Climax was Extra Ordinary while dis one seems copied from Alone movie..

Please do not compare with part 1.this is uniq story you won't find any connection at all.seems like few songs shouldn't be there that will distract you.story is good, jokes are good it could have few more.

Brilliant performance by Kartik again. Kiara was superb. Thanks to Rajpal Sir and Sanjya Mishra sir they made tampo high in entire movie. Tabu Mam was MVP of the movie. It was tough to fit in Akshay sir shoes but Kartik you KILLED IT!

Universal truth:- No one can take place of Akshay Kumar.

-One time watch movie.

-You will not get bored for sure.

-But energy in first bhoolbhulaiya is missing.

-Songs are not good.

-Even Arijit's song also forgettable.

-Tabbu is the heart of film.

-Good and unpredictable climax.

-Comedy is average.

-More stars from myside are for Tabbu only.

Waste of time. I wasted half my Sunday to this movie. People are only going for it because of Bhool Bhulaiya 1's popularity. Kiara Advani's acting skills are back to zero again, she didn't have much screen time, seems she had a guest appearance. As usual, Tabu carried the movie on her shoulders. Kartik Aryan was okay, he needs to know that he can't leverage Pyaar ka Punchnama replica acting all the time. Collectively everyone overacted. Poor Amar Upadhyay, there was a time when people went mad when he was killed as Mihir in Kyuki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi. In this movie, he hasn't spoken a word. All the songs were super cliche, forced romantic wearing shiny poorly stiched jacket in a desert type. I am still brain fogged from this poorly written, made no sense movie. If you still go and watch this movie for the hype, that you will, go for Tabu!!

Not even worth writing a review. But this was so bad that I just had to get my frustration out. The original had its over the top annoying comedic moments but a good portion of it was serious added with great acting and infusion of tension. Even that movie would've been better without the unrealistically comedic moments. Basically without Akshay kumar. Why can't bollywood make an actual horror movie. I don't understand why tabu signed up for this crap.

Amazing movie, must watch. Great work by Kartik Aryan and Team. Also Tabu did an amazing Job. Great Horror Sequence with a good humour. That was not expected but yes, film is amazing!

I wasn't expecting karthik to act in this nonsense plot with extremely nonsense so called twist. What a pathetic excuse to make a 2nd part and who are all these people who are giving this movie such good rating.. I haven't seen a movie so hyped with such a bad plot. Seriously don't even waste your time watching it for free..

I am not sure why the rating for this movie is so high. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 was way better and can't be compared with the part 2. There is no story. Bollywood's quality is trash nowadays.

I have watched the movie...... The comedy is awesome 👍......Horror itni nhi h But comedy was nice...... Supporting role of Rajpal Yadav & others was good....... One Time watch Movie toh hai !!!

Good movie to watch for especially the sequel to the original bhool bhulaiyaa movie the movie has comedy scenes in it that will make you laugh but I think original one was best because of akshay kumar,s role.

Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra such a fine actors but director wasted their potential by not giving good dialogue or comedy punch. Movie is total crap. Why they show crows? Why they show vfx cat? How nonsensical the musical instruments started hanging in the air ? Tabbu is full of Multani mitti make up. Why and how comfortably Kiera hide in such a big haveli. When it is clear not to open the door then why they open the door? Illogical hopless crap. Best thing about movie is credit song played after the end of the movie with Karthik dance moves.

This movie wasn't made to replace Akshay Kumar so stop comparing. Bhool bhulaiya 1 was fab but this is amazing too. Hats off to Kartik for all the hardwork you put in. Complete Entertainer. Vibe is the same as 1. Cheers!

I think climax could be better but movie is entertaiming and enjoyable. Rajpal yadav and sanjay mishra won't dissapoint you as always. Bhool bhulaiya 6/10.

I don't understand how people are rating this high. Feels like expectations from Bollywood has gone down a lot. Some scenes and dialogues of this movie are good and that's it. Beyond that movie lacks everything else. It's highly inconsistent, the main character lacks depth, Kiara is not needed in the movie (doesn't do anything significant) and horror is very cliche. You can re-watch bhool bhulaiya one and avoid this completely!
