After four years, the stars of Freeform‘s The Bold Type are itching for a Scarlet Magazine reunion.

Katie Stevens, who played budding editor Jane Sloan in the Sarah Watson-created series, recently expressed her interest in reprising the role for a movie with co-stars Meghann Fahy and Aisha Dee.

“I’m in. Me, Meghann, and Aisha, every interview we do separately, we talk about how we want to do something Bold Type-related again, to do a movie or something,” she told People. “We’re all primed and ready to do it.”

Stevens added, “So I’m just like, ‘We just need to get it out there that we want to do it and then have fans rally.’ Because there’s a lot of remakes of things happening and spinoffs of things, and I’m just like, ‘Let’s just do a Bold Type Hulu original movie or something!'...

Michael Bay is a filmmaker who is largely known for his high-octane, explosive storytelling. However, many of his projects as a producer have been widely different from his on-brand, visual effects-filled directorial efforts.

The feature adaptation of Hana Khan Carries On from Amazon MGM Studios and Kaling International has found its director.

Fawzia Mirza, whose recent credits include the Hulu series Deli Boys, is set to direct the film that is currently in development, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. The project has not yet announced a cast.

Sahar Jahani (Ramy) penned the script that is based on author Uzma Jalaluddin’s 2021 novel of the same name. The film centers on Chicago-based chef and family restaurant owner Hana, who connects with Aydin on an anonymous dating app without realizing that his own family’s culinary empire could lead to her business shutting down.

Hallmark Media will premiere Providence Falls, a three-part Special Event adaptation based on Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets’ book series, starring Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby and Evan Roderick.

The trilogy is produced by Reckless Pictures in association with JoAnna Garcia Swisher’s Rolling Clover prodco, Treehouse Media and Basset Hound Distribution. Here, “The Bold Type” and “The White Lotus” TV comedy breakout Meghann Fahy proves herself a terrific (and Hitchcock-shade-of-blonde) genre actress as a traumatized widow on the worst first date of her life. Horror director icon Christopher Landon is back onscreen with twisty whodunit thriller “Drop” starring “The White Lotus” breakout Meghann Fahy.

“Drop” centers on Violet (Fahy), a single mother and therapist who is trying to get back into the dating game after leaving an abusive ex. However, during her first date with Henry (Brandon Sklenar) whom she met on a Tinder-like app, Violet is terrorized and blackmailed by a series of anonymous AirDrops to her phone. Set at the birth of Instagram, Apple Cider Vinegar follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. All of which would be incredibly inspiring if it were all true.

Directed by Jeffrey Walker, the true crime series was inspired by The Woman Who Fooled The World: Belle Gibson’s Cancer Con, and the Darkness at the Heart of the Wellness Industry by Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano.

Charlotte was originally set to be played by Jessica Biel, who later departed the project.

Titled “It’s Not Like That,” the series hails from creators and showrunners Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson. The official logline states:

Dever is also listed as an executive producer of the project, which is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2025.

Y&r has welcomed award-nominated costume designer Mandi Line to its crew. Line is best known for her work on Pretty Little Liars. She’s also responsible for dressing the casts of Death and Other Details, Shameless, and The Bold Type. Her work will be unveiled on the Monday, November 18th episode.

Line graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (Fidm). Shortly after, she started her costume design career on independent movies, music videos, and red-carpet events. Line’s impressive Hollywood clientele includes Kirsten Dunst and Mandy Moore.

According to TV Insider, a new retiree, Barbara Stone (Broderick), joins a Christmas Committee, but clashes with long-standing member, Kath (Rhea). Uptight Beth and free-spirited Kath are so frustrated when they go home.

Fresh off the premiere of its new Fox drama “Murder in a Small Town,” Jeff Wachtel’s Future Shack Entertainment shingle is ramping up its development slate — next via a first-look pact with Daily Beast chief content officer Joanna Coles. Future Shack and Coles have multiple projects in development, including a take on MSNBC anchor Katy Tur’s memoir “Rough Draft.”

Wachtel and Coles are also shopping the drama “Base Camp,” which looks at the crowded — and dangerous — queue to get to the top of Mt. Everest. Playwright and screenwriter Anchuli Felicia King is the scribe behind that project.

Additionally, Future Shack and Coles have two more scripts in the works at 20th Television. According to the official synopsis, Ava (Sipos), an art gallery manager, decides to take her honeymoon riverboat cruise alone after her wedding was canceled a year before. On the cruise, she meets Joe (Jeannotte), a handsome fellow passenger she finds intriguing.

Unbeknownst to her, Joe is concealing his identity as the Prince of Baldonia.

Although Goonies never say die, there are few other words to describe the hopes for a potential sequel.

Corey Feldman and Martha Plimpton, who starred together in Steven Spielberg‘s The Goonies (1985), recently responded to reports that a sequel to the beloved movie is in the works with the original cast expected to return.

“2’Sday, Is #GOONIES2 Real?! EVERY1 Is Asking…I Can Officially Tell U 100% No! I Hav No Info That A Sequel Is In The Worx,” wrote Feldman on X, promoting the long-awaited premiere of his 2004 film The Birthday.

Plimpton also shot down the news while using the opportunity to engage fans in their civic duty. “People, there is no Goonies 2 script, there is no one ‘attached,’ Spielberg is not directing, it’s not real,” she shared in a post on Instagram. “What Is real is Check Your Registration And Vote!!!!”
