Found this movie on Amazon Prime, remembered seeing the trailer a while back and figured I'd give a chance. Glad I did! It's was good, I enjoyed it a lot, it had moments where I laughed, smiled, and even got emotional. It's a good movie to watch atleast once. I recommend it if you haven't come across it yet.

I enjoyed the film and am a bit surprised at the low review. I thought the acting was done well, a little over the top at times, but didn't distract from the film. Really great, heart warming story...I def teared up a couple times. I would recommend for an entertaining netflix kinda night.

Sure it's a bit formulaic but that didn't effect how engaging and absorbing it is . If you like movies like this it not , it certainly delivers and without cringe or eye rolling . The cast fits beautifully and the story itself is inspiring and captivating . I was all there for it and I am here for it still !

Enjoyed it a lot, interesting to see John's story & I was impressed by Ludacris - it probably could of benefitted a lot from a bit more budget but they worked well with what they had to still provide some good BMX action

You think changing his adoptive mom to a black woman would make a realistic story, even though, it's a true story & his adoptive mom was white - some people...

Glad this movie finally came out. I watched because it was a "BMX movie" and at the half century mark BMX is important to me. I still ride! But the movie was way more than a BMX movie. John Buultjens' story is a great story that more people in today's world need to hear. He is livening proof a bad start in life can be overcome.

Reminded me of American history x but not as good. There were some nice parts to the film and some nice messages. Had me crying a few times but these sort of films always do. Certainly worth watching though.

This is so much more than a BMX movie, it is inspiring and makes you think about life, it has many great messages, amazing actors with not only tear jerker but some exciting moments. I had such a great time watching it, thank you for making this movie. John Buultjens is a fantastic human!

Great film really enjoyed only criticism was that they got a 28 year old to play a teen. There's some fantastic teen actors out there. I'm not saying Shane Graham didn't do a good job just looked out of place. I gave it a 6 which doesn't really do the film justice it's worth a watch but just couldn't get past the age of the leading roll.

This film really pulls you in and you really route for the characters.. well paced and a balanced .. could not recommend this enough..

This is an independent film so you can always count on the high ratings from people that were a part of the production. There's no way that this movie is anything over 5 stars! It was decent and actually nice to see Ludicrous playing this type of role even though he turned into Mr. Miyagi (Karate Kid) at the end. He should have just rubbed his hands together before setting the kids shoulder back in place. 😆

It's sweet and heart warming. Some cringey parts. Definitely a movie you have to be in the mood for otherwise not a top Friday night pick. Also.... Why ludacris.

Really good movie!! Loved the story, the actors and that it's based on a true story about over coming lifes tragic moments w/a foster family that truly was in it to help the child!!

And the BMX just added to the story!!

Great story that needed told!!!

A perfect pickme up movie about a kid from a tough background being given a chance to shine but also changing his beliefs and values along the way. This true story has race at its centre but veers away from complex scenes on race and ideology using it as a background to focus instead upon the journey towards becoming a champion biker. In terms of performances, all the lead actors do well with the exception of Ludacris whose understated performance of a tough but fair foster parent steals the movie.

The scenes with the BMX skills seemed real and were amazing to watch, and like all sports movies inspired you to make you to go and have a go. Overall conclusion an uplifting movie, but will be soon forgotten.

Wasn't expecting much going into this. Didn't know what it was about, or even that it was inspired by actual events. Heartwarming story, it was a pleasure to see.

It's been awhile since I've watched a film that touched me the way this has. The actors are brilliant and the storyline is gripping. I give it a 10/10! It's a must watch.

A little bit predictable for about half the movie and towards the end it gets better I gave it a seven it's a good enjoyable movie.

I had no expectations of this movie just thought I would enjoy it as a long time BMX racer and freestyle rider from back in the day. We get some great riding action which is awesome but what is even better is we get to see a great story that shows us where you start doesn't have to define where you finish in this life. There is nothing I don't like about this movie, the casting the cinematography the riding is all top notch. This is a must watch in my opinion even if you are not into BMX. What you will take away from this movie has no price.

You're not seeing a classic movie here but I really Enjoyed it...a lot! I'm not familiar with music of Ludacris but what a surprise. I'd watch any movie he'd be in. I hope he does more acting. His wife in movie was cast perfectly! Thanks for the enjoyment I had watching this movie. I believe It's based on a true story.

Jeez, I didn't think I'd be sobbing so early in the morning. I wish they'd make more films like this. A real heartwarming story, with a great cast and a happy ending. My daughtr use to play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater on her PlayStation. She wasn't into skateboarding or BMX riding, but for some reason the film poster brought back all those memories, and of course Ludacris is starring in it, playing a softer side I've never seen before. I don't want to spoil the film, so give it a watch, you won't be disappointed. Just good, honest fun, with lessons to be learned. Watching a person rise from adversity always gets me. Bravo!

So, we have a new pc movie with an interracial couple. Sadly this one falls flat. Would have been much better if it were a black woman and her husband and would have made foe a more realistic story.

Just watched it today have been waiting for it to come out for awhile now and it was well worth the wait. Its been a long time since ive seen a great movie like this definitely in my top 10 of favorite movies now.

I teared up many times. Awesome story. Loved everything. The adoption angle, the race story, the underdog, the skate bettys, the freestyle tricks. The old skool bmx cameos. Its worth your time. A great trip in to my childhood BMX days with my Haro Master.

This is a must see and Based on a true story. The acting is also great. I didn't want the movie to end.
