    Good story but bad execution..!

A girl suffers from multipersonality disorder but soon she realized that she haunted by her twin sister...and she killed some of them because of her haunted sister...finally she got out of her.. Nice concept but bad screenplay.. Boring to watch even photography is good... Once watchable movie..!

    Way out

Some horror movies can easily be declared as way too predictable and cliché. This one for example, where anyone watching is way ahead (no pun intended) of our main character. We know what is going on, even without much of the backstory. It hurts (yes the viewer too, but in a different way) just watching some things develop.

On the other hand, this has some really neat visual things up its sleeve and if you like horror, it does feed that lust and hunger you may feel inside. Not the best movie around or at Frightfest where I watched it, but not the worst one either. Just go with the flow, breathe and push ... well you know what I mean ...

    Great style, terrible substance

"Let Her Out" is a small budget movie. But you wouldn't know that by looking at it. This is perhaps one of the most visually impressive movies of the year. It's got a vivid color palette and camera use that is never boring. The makeup effects are realistic even when they're completely over the top. This movie has the look of a major studio production and millions and millions of dollars behind it.

The film starts showing us a hooker who is eventually raped. The intro of the movie is done with almost no dialogue and is told concisely. The intro ends and we are brought into the movie proper. It's 23 years later and we are introduced to Helen, the product of that rape. Or is she? Helen finds out she has a twin that died in utero and was absorbed by her body. It is implied that perhaps Helen wasn't the product of rape but perhaps the twin was. Anyways, the absorbed twin begins to take control of Helen body giving her blackouts.

If you're reading this and think it sounds silly, well this is a horror movie. Such silliness is more than welcome if it provides some solid scares and an interesting peak at what it means to be human. Perhaps, the twin isn't really taking control and maybe Helen's brain is using it as an excuse to attack those who have victimized her.

But that would be giving this story far too much credit. While I love this movie visually, its story has no depth besides, "bad twin gets out and does bad things!" any attempt to maybe use this bizarre situation to reflect upon the human condition is completely wasted. Part of it is how we have no real characters in this movie. They are just props that move the plot along. Even our main character, Helen just seems to be there to occasionally be taken over by her twin. All the other characters exist to be victims of these episodes. Even the ending turns into little more than a creature feature with the evil twin going on an apparent murder rampage.

The acting doesn't help at all. Some is serviceable and some is just downright bad. It's all rather disappointing. When so much good gets mixed with so much bad, it's tough to end up good overall. And that's where "Let Her Out" ends up. I almost want to recommend it as a visual spectacle, but in the end you'd have to watch the dreadful story. And that is something I cannot recommend.

    Vanishing Twin Syndrome

This film starts off with a hooker having sex with various clients, including a rape Then she is seen pregnant, stabbing herself to death in the stomach. Move on 23 years and her daughter Helen is experiencing horrific visions, plus much physical horror. Canada does have a history of body horror and this is no exception: spewing long, black hair, self mutilation, pulling skin off. Etc. Very graphic. Japanese horror is also very evident in the form of a ghastly female with long, dark hair. If you like graphic horror then this does not disappoint. The only things that I didn't like were that the two female lead characters looked too similar, and the ending was slightly poor. Sadly the latter is quite common with 21st century horror movies.

What a horribly paced and horrible acted pile of garbage. AVOID!

I try so hard to give movies the benefit of the doubt, I really do. But movies like these just test my patience by failing in almost every possible regard. Everything from the grade school script and amateur directorial style, to the stulted and hilarious "acting" and poor pacing make this movie an absolute chore to get through. But what exactly happened?

Not a single person involved in this stopped to ask themselves, "Is this movie actually good?" or "Is what we are making entertaining?". I bet not a single person in that production company could be certain of the answers to either of those questions. So of course we end up with such an anemic script, such poor pacing, and such laughable acting. It's like there was no quality control.

The movie wasn't scary for the first hour or so, and then it was a bit entertaining and then it ended. It was a horror movie for a solid 10 minutes and then it was over. The rest was filler, decent gore that was hidden by poor angles, and a lot of fake blood splattered all over the place. But that alone does not a horror movie make. It just goes to show that some people really view the horror genre as the dumping grounds for the worst that cinema has to offer, and it's really a shame.

Aside for some bang up special effects work and some quality blood splatter, this movie was pointless, boring and tame (even when you consider just how graphic some of it is). These people need to learn that when you make a movie like this, you either go big or go home. Cut someone's salary and up the SFX budget. If your story and acting sucks, might as well pump your money into the only department that is actually getting anything done.

Avoid this movie like you broke the law and are hiding from the cops.
