I caught up with this movie because people were saying it's a sentimental movie filled with gorgeous sunsets. Turns out it's true but it didn't strike me as a must watch. Alessandra de Rossi, after going through a break up, begins receiving painted postcards from various places from the Philippines. She decided to embark a journey to look for the sender of the letter. I can't help it but the story line seemed to get inspiration from 'Letters to Juliet'. On her way to discover the letter sender, she discovers herself. Whether it's the bancas of Zamboanga, the masks of Marinduque or the sunset of Batanes, you will surely be mesmerized by the various picturesque sceneries of the Philippines. But to be truly captivated by the movie was not the effect I got. Still, worth the watch.
I'm just minutes into it and I'm already annoyed. First, she accused next door neighbor the strange letters came from him after he delivered it to her doorstep. During the a brief calmer exchange he said "if u r C who is M?". So I had to look if there was a character whose name starts with M n then saw in the cast an actor playing Mark. Why so easy to an anccuse the neighbor. And then flashbacks of Cielo's romance with M also Mark. That's it! I'm done. I think this is really lazy character development. I might try again for the cinematography and check out Philippine landscapes. De Rossi is an excellent actress but all the recent movies are so stereotypical of roles she plays...I'm too lazy to elaborate.
