It's a good show. I watched it in Asia on FOX ACTION MOVIES in the night with my parents. I would like see it also in France, maybe the season 2. It is so drammatic and action series. It is set in Italy in a Volcano, and the forest is so beatifull.
I highly recommend this series! Beautiful storytelling from beginning to end! Fantastic performances from all the actors which had me in tears! The humanity of all the characters who are put in this nightmare situation is wonderful and very well handled! Excellent directing, editing and soundtrack. Very high quality considering that it is an independent production. The standout performances, for me, were from Estella Warren, Gianni Capaldi and Gerry Shanahan. They all had a really strong presence on screen and carried the series well. Zombie stories have been done so many times but this is honestly one of the best I've ever seen! That's including Hollywood productions. More people should know about this.
Tense, gripping and bloody; John Real's zombie apocalypse drama 'Feel the Dead' pits an unsuspecting American family on vacation against hordes of flesh eating zombies in an adventure that will keep you glued to the edge of your seat. Taking cues from the renaissance of the zombie genre in recent memory, Real spares no expense in delivering a bloody spectacle, one that is marked with twists and turns at every corner. Estella Warren is fantastic and both Sabrina Culver and William McNamara give moving performances that elevate the story. The six episode season is not afraid to thrust its protagonists into life and death situations and as the story progresses, the mystery regarding the zombie epidemic slowly reveals itself as the protagonists cross paths with a variety of both allies and unsavoury characters in the pursuit of survival. John Real ensures that well written characters and absolutely terrifying zombies propel the story forward and what follows is a tense journey of survival and gore as flesh eating monstrosities go on an unstoppable rampage of violence and terror. With gritty cinematography, fantastic special effects and a heartfelt story at its core, 'Feel the Dead' is a win by any measure of success and a worthy addition to the zombie genre.
It is a good pilot. Like all series need to see more to understand if it will be a good show. But for the first season is very good. The zombies are very well looked after, and the characters are very well written.
I'm a fan of zombie and apocalyptic movies, even low budget ones.
But this is horrible. The acting is atrocious. No matter where you film, there are local actors, people who do plays, and theatre, but you've got to find them. This show feels like whomever was running it just hired their friends, who can't act, to be in it.
The story and decisions people made make no sense. The dialogue is even stupider.
The high ratings must be from the cast and producers, because this thing is just atrocious.
Seriously, if you're going to make a movie, at LEAST get good actors. Everything else can be worked around, but bad acting can NEVER be fixed...
