The movie features extensive use of guns and other explosive weaponry. This is a marked change from 3 Engel für Charlie (2000) and 3 Engel für Charlie: Volle Power (2003), in which star and executive producer Drew Barrymore insisted that the Angels use no guns at all and almost no weapons aside from their own martial arts skills.
Drew Barrymore owned the rights to Charlie's Angels until 2019, when the Rights went back to Sony Pictures.
