This is a must watch Korean historical drama.
This is said to be inspired from "The Face Reader" and how face reading used to be a form quick and simple first aid body check up and hence foretelling any future ailments but became something else with time.
The story moves faster than any other periodic drama keeping you interested in the plot and before you know, you have already fallen in it. But to keep in mind this is no fuzzy romance drama or fantasy element attached to it. So get ready for some real situations. The actors may not be the best looking but they are all good actors. The cinematography is pretty good. The question is does bad fortune brings bad results or its your bad descisions that being bad fortune.

Seo In-Guk won for this drama as THE BEST NEW ACTOR and nominated also for other 3 categories including the Excellence Award in KBS Drama Awards 2014..
There is a great chemistry with his leading lady but the story is not meant for them to be with each other.. I have seen Seo In-Guk in all his drama and movies and he is really good. Don't look for chemistry when the story did not focus on the love story of the two lead... But I admire Seo In-Guk since I saw him for the first time. There is something in him that other actors or artist don't have. Watch this drama Seo Inguk is the best. Prince Gwanghae and Kim Ga Hee sacrifice a lot for the people and the future of Joseon.
A snoozefest by definition. It felt like an endless, meandering road leading absolutely nowhere, like a book with no chapters, just pages and pages of the same old, same old. This what an AI is capable of generating when giving it the prompts "power, struggle, palace" in no particular order. It would have been less tiresome if it were only half its length. They were so desperate to prolong the drama that they added a war in the middle despite being outside the theme and scoop of this drama. The writing was abysmal and shameful, they made the characters like clowns. Although we were introduced to face reading at the start but that played little to no importance later on and was rarely used outside some fillers.
There is no chemistry between the leads and the story is interesting at first but lacks supporting details. The plot was repetitive although the actors were really good.
