A feel good film, featuring brilliant performances from some fresh new faces.
I'm a big fan of touching small stories, so this film is right up my alley.
Writer/Director Lee Galea clearly demonstrates an ability to bring out the vulnerabilities in his characters. Handled with such sensitivity, it's hard not to relate to these characters at some level. The story centres around an English girl (Gale- played by Stephanie Gonelli) who is searching for her father. However, I found the subplots more compelling, in particular the one involving (Pat Moonie- playing Leonie). His humour seemed improvised and natural, and his ability to bring light and shade to a complex character is what kept me interested.
Vibrant, heartwarming, sensitive. Recommended to anyone who appreciates independent, character driven, hidden little gems.

The Neon Spectrum is an uplifting film about a young woman searching for her father. She meets and befriends people along the way; these characters are each different and have depth. The soundtrack is very nice, the actors are talented and the bright colors & visuals are great. There's some humor, but also many heartfelt moments. Overall, a feel-good movie that keeps your attention and leaves you smiling. Lee Galea can't ever make a bad film.

It was so emotional and I really loved that each character has its own story and how the audience can realize that we all need someone, and friends will always be with us no matter what.
