William H. Macy, George's first acting coach, singled out George for a special note one night at class. George arrived late to class at Chicago's St. Nicholas Theatre. In the silence of the theatre George made a huge racket walking in wooden Dutch shoes on the creaky wooden stage. George interpreted Macy's red face and yelling at him in front of his peers as an affirmation of his acting skills. Macy later went on to Fargo & Shameless fame and George, well...TBD.
