I'm proud that, for some people, the film Country of Hotels unsettles and challenges them, and they find it a unique and idiosyncratic experience. Although there are similarities with other films, it doesn't follow standard genre and story templates. It's not a minimalist film or a naturalistic film: it is its own beast
