His educational credentials include a Police Supervision Certificate, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.

Mr. LeDuc became a Police Officer in 1991. In addition to his patrol duties, as a certified Police Trainer and later as a Field Training Officer he designed course material, taught, and facilitated the training of numerous police recruits.

In 1998 he was promoted to Detective serving in the Property Crimes Section and later the Violent Crimes Unit. In recognition for his work in these units, he was selected to serve in the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force. This group, combining federal and local agents, was tasked with identifying and dismantling large organized crime rings in the United States and abroad. In 2004, Mr. LeDuc was assigned as one of the city's two homicide investigators.

Mr. LeDuc was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2005 and assigned to supervise a squad of Patrol Officers and Police Aids in the city's busiest police district. A year later he was selected to supervise the Sex Crimes Unit at the Scottsdale Family Advocacy Center. He made significant improvements to the center's operation by developing new policies and implementing numerous successful programs that increased its efficiency. His efforts have helped establish the Scottsdale Family Advocacy Center as a model for other cities across the nation. He has been invited to speak and consult with other agencies as they sought to establish their own family advocacy centers.

During that time, Mr. LeDuc supervised a team of detectives who investigate sex crimes committed against both children and adults, ran the sex offender tracking/notification effort, and oversaw all Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigations while still sharing the responsibility of directing the day to day operations of the Advocacy Center.

In 2011, Mr. LeDuc was assigned to the Internal Affairs Unit and is currently tasked with responsibilities concerning the investigation of alleged police misconduct, professional standards, and statistical tracking.

In addition to his full time job as a law enforcement professional, Mr. LeDuc serves as an Adjunct Professor for Northern Arizona University where he develops curriculum and teaches four different night courses: Conflict Resolution and Mediation, Ethics, Critical Analysis and Problem Solving, Mentally Impaired Offenders, and Research Methods in the Social Sciences.

Additionally, Mr. LeDuc develops curriculum and presents for the not for profit organization notMYkid. notMYkid provides education to parents and teens about substance abuse, bullying, Internet safety, and other contemporary issues facing our youth.

Mr. LeDuc's awards include multiple Police Superior Performance Awards, Meritorious Service Award, Community Policing Award, Marksmanship Award, The City of Scottsdale Manager's Award of Excellence for Caring and Compassion, and Supervisor of the Year in 2008 and 2010.
