Cyril Höschl
- Höschl was a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague, worked at the Psychiatric Research Institute in Bohnice. After November 1989, he was the Dean of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University.
- He was the founder of the National Institute of Mental Health (NÚDZ), which he headed until 2021.
- In 2024, Höschl received the Neuron Award for outstanding contributions to science.
- Höschl was also a popularizer of psychiatry and often spoke out on social issues in the media.
- From 1990 to 2021, he held the position of director of the Prague Psychiatric Center, which in the meantime was transformed into an emergency hospital.
