Attended J.B Vachha High School and graduated in BMM (Bachelors of Mass Media) from Jai Hind College in Mumbai.

Was originally a journalist and a part-time model before she got into acting. She never planned to be an actress, has never been a part of plays, never acted in school or college and has no formal training in acting. Acting happened by chance.

Has worked with a number of publications after college before finally taking up a job at a beauty magazine. She was co-coordinating a makeover shoot for them & one of the assistant directors from Get Educated: Paathshaala (2010) had come for the makeover. She saw saw Kainaz & asked her to audition for a part in the film. Kainaz went along thinking it would be fun to give it a shot. She eventually got the part. When she heard about Ragini MMS (2011), she went for the auditions and then they selected her for the role.

Is a true 'Mumbaikar' and was raised in Mumbai her entire life.
