He is one of the original members of the 60s folk-rock group, The Robbs.

All the music you hear in the Ghosts of Mars (2001) film is original and was played to picture by Anthrax, which was produced and recorded by Bruce Robb at Cherokee Studios in Hollywood. Carpenter had originally selected a Metallica cut, when Robb suggested bringing in the famed heavy metal band Anthrax who it turns out are also big John Carpenter fans. The results yielded an award-winning soundtrack.

Buckethead, the famous masked guitar player who notoriously only appears in public wearing a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket on his head and Halloween Jason mask covering his face, actually removed his disguise for music supervisor-producer Bruce Robb and director-composer John Carpenter while recording original music for the Ghosts of Mars (2001) movie and soundtrack, recorded by Bruce Robb at Cherokee Studios.

For the Ghosts of Mars (2001) score, as music producer he brought in famed heavy metal band Anthrax to play to picture for director John Carpenter, who had originally filmed the movie listening to Metallica. The film's score is entirely original and was recorded by Robb at his Cherokee Studios in Hollywood. The film's DVD offers a bonus feature with behind-the-scenes footage in the studio with the musicians, Carpenter and Robb.

Off the platform of his famous recording studio, Cherokee Studios, Bruce Robb co-founded an independent record label called Quarter2Three Records. Among the first artists signing to the label is legendary blues musician Robert Bradley.
