Jaydeep Sarkar is Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar's first cousin.

Jaydeep Sarkar worked with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment as a show runner for the Disney Television Series - Ishaan.

Jaydeep Sarkar started his career as an Assistant Director to Anurag Kashyap and then later worked with Sudhir Mishra, with whom he worked on 'Chameli' and later went on to collaborate on the script of 'Khoya Khoya Chand' and 'Daas Dev'.
