Is the youngest person ever admitted to the School of American Ballet. She was admitted at the age of eleven.

Whilst performing on Saturday Night Live (1975) in October 2004, due to her weak, off-key singing voice, Ashlee was caught lip-syncing when the wrong song began playing during her "performance." She did an embarrassed, awkward dance then ran off stage crying and thus created a media frenzy.

Was nominated for the 2006 Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actress along side her sister Jessica Simpson. Ashlee was nominated for her performance in the film Newcomer - Tausche Ruhm gegen Liebe (2005), while Jessica was nominated for her performance in Ein Duke kommt selten allein (2005). Neither won the award, however.

Married longtime boyfriend Pete Wentz in an intimate ceremony on May 17, 2008 at her parents' home in Los Angeles. Ashlee wore an ivory lace wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier and jewelry by William Noble. Among the guests at their wedding were: Jessica Simpson with boyfriend Tony Romo, Joel Madden with fiancée Nicole Richie and Donald Faison with girlfriend Cacee Cobb.

Suffered from anorexia as a young teenager.
