- Christopher served two years in the Royal Air Force and was discharged at age 18 after a two year stint. He immediately joined the Oxford Repertory Co. where he performed in 104 plays. He also was an air raid warden during WWII. He moved to New York in 1954 and made his Broadway premiere in 1956 with the original cast of "My Fair Lady".
- Although born in England, Christopher started his stage career in Ireland at the age of 7 in a production of "Midsummer Night's Dream."
- Traced his descent (on his Irish side) from Irish political agitator Daniel O'Connell.
- Performed and directed on Broadway from 1955-1981. One of the highlights of his stage career was in the original stage production of "My Fair Lady" where he originated the role of Rex Harrison's competing egotistical linguist, "Zoltan Karpathy".
- He was cremated at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. His sister-in-law, nieces and nephews transported his urn vault from Los Angeles International Airport to Heathrow Airport in London, England. It was buried in Woking, England's Brookwood Cemetery. His memorial service was held at Saint Victor's Catholic Church in West Hollywood on August 11, 2001.
