Essayist, short story writer and novelist. Worked as editor for such publications as Colliers, Esquire, Cosmopolitan and Reader's Digest. Served with the 8th Air Force in England during World War II. and retold his experiences in the book "Target Germany". His filmed novel "Reprisal" was similarly based on actual events.
