Studied acting in Rome at the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico.
Came to prominence as leading man in Italian spaghetti westerns, beginning in 1966 with Blood at Sundown. He was sometimes billed as 'Gary Hudson'. During the 70s, he switched to appearing in many giallo and Poliziotteschi films.
