Jimmy was a very successful featherweight boxer in the early '80's, winning 27 of 30 bouts and known for his vicious left hook. However each time he stepped up to title class he came up short. In a notorious televised bout he once pinned his opponent to the ropes and head butted him! Realising he was getting long in the tooth as a boxer, he transitioned easily into acting, once putting on a long running one man show called the Wapping Assassin.
