Sonja Davies wurde am 11 November 1923 in Neuseeland geboren. Sie war Autorin, bekannt für Bread & Roses (1993). Sie war mit Charlie Davies verheiratet. Sie starb am 12 Juni 2005 in Neuseeland.
She outlived both of her children; her daughter Penny (whose father was
a US Marine who was killed in action before she was born), succumbed to
motor neurone disease, aged 50; her second child, Mark (from her
marriage to trades unionist Charlie Davies) was killed in a tunnelling
accident in 1978.
