Aimee Brooks has been an independent filmmaker and media contributor. She has run a production company called Dark Window Productions which produced internet content and feature films. She has written several genre films with an emphasis on teen/horror/comedy, her specialty.

Aimee started in the entertainment industry as an actress, and had a very successful career in TV and film, working with such actors as Mel Gibson, Tobey Maguire, Jennifer Aniston and Leonardo DiCaprio. She worked on numerous horror films and developed an affinity for the genre. Being a working Actor for over 20 years has proved an asset to her as a director, giving her a unique perspective and awareness for both sides of the camera.

She co-founded La Fond Films and La Fond Media with Rick La Fond, her producing partner, where they produced several web series such as Haunted Christmas, The Witches at My High School and Geeks Vs. Aliens. La Fond films is also developed several feature films.

Aimee has an interest in all areas of filmmaking and has proudly held most positions on set, making her an adaptive, versatile, experienced leader. Recently, she has expanded her expertise into editing and SFX.
