Worked as a sign language interpreter at hospitals, where she would be in delivery rooms while babies were born to deaf mothers and fathers.

Wears 12 earrings in her right ear to beat someone she knew who had 11.

She has played the same character (Ellenor Frutt) in four different television series: Practice: Die Anwälte (1997), Ally McBeal (1997), Boston Public (2000) and Gideon's Crossing (2000).

Mother of Milo Manheim.

She is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She fell into it almost by accident, then studied it at Cabrillo College. She has since been able to use it in many roles, including Benevolence (1993), Das Mercury Puzzle (1998), and Practice: Die Anwälte (1997).
