Often compared to Catherine Deneuve, an icon of French cinema. So much so it was written into an episode of Grey's Anatomy: Die jungen Ärzte (2005) where a patient's husband becomes fascinated with Walsh's character because of the resemblance.

Was a runway model in Japan during the early 1980s.

In September 2017, Walsh revealed she was diagnosed with a benign meningioma in 2015. She underwent surgery at which the tumor was successfully removed. Walsh then took a nine-month break to recover.

The film, Super süß und super sexy (2002), was written by Kate's best friend, Nancy M. Pimental. The film's female characters were based on Nancy and Kate. Also, Kate can be seen on the DVD's special features.
