Foley, Graham and Tierney all appeared in News Radio (1995).

While being interviewed on Irish chat show Tubridy Tonight (2004), Maura admitted that she has had Botox although she did not like the experience. (February 2009).

In a magazine interview several years after the show Newsradio ended, cast members talked about how they heard the news of Phil Hartman's tragic murder. Maura Tierney recalled that she was in New York shooting a movie and heard the news from the radio of a taxi she was in.

(August 27, 2018) She was riding her bike late morning in Los Angeles when she was involved in the accident. A car hit her back tire, which caused her to fall to the ground. After she was placed in a neck brace and put on a stretcher, Tierney was transported via ambulance to a hospital. An LAPD media relations officer confirmed that the driver involved was not believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Maura has been released from the hospital with no major injuries later that day.
