  • (1946) Stage: Wrote English version of "Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles. Tragedy (revival). Directed by Michel Saint-Denis. New Century Theatre: 20 May 1946-22 Jun 1946 (15 performances). Cast included: Julie Harris, Margaret Leighton, Laurence Olivier, Ralph Richardson. NOTE: This production played in repertory with "The Critic".
  • (1994) Stage: His play, "The Wild Swans," was performed at the Griffin Theatre Company in Chicago, IL. Becky Flory was scenic designer.
  • (1978) Stage: His stage adaptation of Sophocles' play "King Oedipus" was performed at the Vanbrugh Theatre in a Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts production in London, England, with George Fisher, Clare Dow, Suzanne Burden, Michael Simkins and Timothy Spall in the cast. Geoff Bullen was director.
  • (1923) Stage: Wrote "The Player Queen", produced on Broadway. Farce. Neighborhood Playhouse: 16 Oct 1923-Nov 1923 (closing date unknown/49 performances). Cast: Charner Batson (as "Big Countryman"), John Campbell, Leonard Carey, Albert Carroll, Dennis Cleugh, Frances Cowles, Douglas Garden, Reba Garden, Pamela Gaythorne, Alfred Hagnauer, Perry Ivins (as "First Poet/Old Beggar"), Ruth Lee, Lily Lubell, Aline MacMahon (as "Decima"), Philip Mann, Esther Mitchell, Marion Morehouse, Arthur Reed, John Francis Roche, Joanna Roos, Adeline Ruby, Ann Schmidt, John Scott, Blanche Talmud, John Taylor, Charles Wagner, Dan Walker, Polaire Weissmann, Martin Wolfson (as "Musician"; Broadway debut). Produced by Neighborhood Players.

  • (13. November 1912) His play, "On Baile's Stand," was performed at Maurice Browne's Little Theater in Chicago, Illinois.
  • (September 28, 2006 to October 29, 2006) His translation of Sophocles' play, "Oedipus the King," was performed at the Public Theater in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Jay Stratton (Oedipus); Helena Ruoti (Jocasta); Michael McKenzie (Creon; and Edward James Hyland (Seer) in the cast. Ted Pappas was director. James Noone was set designer. David R. Zyla was costume designer.
  • (March 18 to 22, 1918) His play, "The Hour Glass," was performed in a Pasadena Community Playhouse production at the Savoy Theatre in Pasadena, California. Gilmor Brown was director and artistic director.
