She serves along with Jane Goodall on the advisory board of Save the Chimps, a non-profit which has retired 300+ chimpanzees to sanctuary. All of the chimpanzees were used for decades in the US Space program, Bio-Med research laboratories and in entertainment.

Is Spokesperson for the conservation group, Save the Chimps.

Was adopted into the Sac & Fox tribe, as his daughter, by the tribe's Hereditary Chief, Native American actor and icon Saginaw Grant.
