Along with Gary Jones, she is one of only two actors to appear in all ten seasons of Stargate: Kommando SG-1 (1997) and all five seasons of Stargate: Atlantis (2004).

Of the other four original Stargate: Kommando SG-1 (1997) regulars, she is the only one who did not meet and/or work with Richard Dean Anderson before the series began.

Has appeared on-screen in more "Stargate" productions than any other actor. Tapping has played Samantha Carter in 206 episodes of Stargate: Kommando SG-1 (1997), 19 episodes of Stargate: Atlantis (2004), one episode of Stargate Universe (2009), Stargate: The Ark of Truth - Die Quelle der Wahrheit (2008) and Stargate: Continuum (2008), bringing her total to 228 appearances.
