When working on the pilot for Rocky und Bullwinkle (1959), he read the entire script to Jay Ward. Of course, he kept changing his voice for each character. After Ward approved the script, he had decided who he wanted to play each character, except Bullwinkle. When Scott asked who was going to play Bullwinkle, Ward replied "Oh, I thought you were!".

Served in the US Army's First Motion Picture Unit during World War II.

Worked for Warner Brothers, UPA, Disney and-- notably--Jay Ward Productions, as writer, co-producer and voice actor for [Rocky und Bullwinkle (1959) (the voices of Bullwinkle and Mr. Peabody).

Began in animation as a gofer and washing cels for Harman-Ising at Warner Brothers.

Served on the board of directors and as president of ASIFA-Hollywood, the International Animated Film Society's Hollywood branch,.
