- Alfred Schirokauer wurde am 13 Juli 1880 in Deutschland geboren. Er war Autor und Regisseur, bekannt für Der Himmel auf Erden (1927), Die Faust des Schicksals (1921) und Mutter und Sohn (1924). Er starb am 24 Mai 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

- As a Jew he had to emigrate abroad where he was able to write few more screenplay like "De familie van mijn vrouw" (1935), "Lucrèce Borgia" (1935) und "August der Starke" (1936).
- Still active as a lawyer he wrote his first novel "Ilse Isensee" (1904) and in the next years followed many other novels.
- He already got in touch with the film business in 1913 and he wrote his first screenplay for "Das verschleierte Bild von Gross-Kleindorf" (1913).
- Besides his activity as a screenwriter Alfred Schirokauer also realised some movies as a director.
