- Nikolai Rozantsev wurde am 29 März 1922 geboren. Er war Regisseur und Regieassistent, bekannt für Eine Stadt in Alarm (1959), Die Verschwörung in der Botschaft (1966) und Na ostrove dalnem (1957). Er starb am 24 Januar 1980.
- Graduated from Moscow State Institute of Cinema (VGIK) film school from the class of Sergei Gerasimov (1948).
- Was a decorated and disabled veteran of WWII.
- Nikolai Rozantsev directed the movie Zagovor Poslov after the original director, Boris Barnet, who already started pre-production, but unexpectedly committed suicide at age 62 in Riga, USSR [now Latvia].
- Nikolai Rozantsev was under heavy political pressure in the Soviet Union; he was censored and then restricted by the Soviet government to making only black-and-white films.
- Nikolai Rozantsev was censored by the Soviet government and his film Razvyazka (1970) was labeled as "Anti-Soviet" so the original director's version of the movie was destroyed.
