She currently (2004) lives in Amsterdam.

She has two brothers: Jean and Maurice.

She stopped acting and started working as cook. As a cook in various Amsterdam restaurants, she cooked the stars from heaven. By 2022, she had picked up acting again.

"When roles stopped coming overnight, I started to doubt myself immensely. It left me with a strange longing for the past rather than the future. I was suddenly dissatisfied with my life. It seemed impossible to find something again that would give me so much satisfaction and pleasure. I felt like I had failed profoundly. My career as an actress ended prematurely. Having children was also not possible. In short, I was one big failure", she looked back on that period without acting opportunities.

In 1989 she went to the Theater School in Amsterdam, where she graduated in 1994.
