Chuck attributes his interest in gangsters and true crime to his upbringing in Oak Park, Illinois (a western suburb of Chicago) where he lived on the same block as infamous mobsters Sam "Momo" Giancana and Tony "The Ant" Spilotro, who was the inspiration for Joe Pesci's sadistic character in Martin Scorsese's film "Casino.".
